Glad to have the conversation. I actually wouldn’t change a thing. I just wanted to start this conversation because it happens every year on this site. It amazes me how quick people on this is site are so quick to want to see changes for one sport. But when it happens in Basketball everything is ok. I agree leave both alone.

This is thrown around a lot during playoffs in football. So I want bring it to basketball… is it time to eliminate first round games of district tournament and only top 2 in each district play? Based on some of the blow outs tonight.

Interviews will be happening next week. I have spoken to someone who said they would be doing an interview. I think time line has always been mid February.

Trying to compare coaches like this doesn’t tell the full story. Meaning when the coach was hired what kind of shape was the program in. This is important piece.

I heard from pretty creditable source Foley hasn’t spoken with LC much less interviewed.

With a lot of jobs still open I wonder if there was something that caught his eye here. All roads in 6A lead through Louisville so I can't imagine this will be an easy program to turn around especially with Douglass being as strong as they are currently and Station starting to make a push.

Love driving through Pineville and coming around the been to see that stadium! Never been to a game. How is the atmosphere ?

Yet when you have scenarios of coaches in the building and kids failing then obviously coaches in the building isn’t the only solution. Relationships can be established in other ways. Just because it’s the traditional way doesn’t mean it’s the only way.

I’m hearing this may shorten the list!

100k Would be invested in the Field House, Locker Room, Weight Room and Creating a study hall/players lounge for the kids and would purchase some fridges and stock those with Gatorade, water, and snacks so the kids had a safe space to study before practice with some food and drinks. The building is old but I do believe with some help this all can be achieved!

This was a step in the right direction! This is leaps and bounds ahead of where it was but the minute we say this is quality then we are part of the problem. I welcome everyone here to go to an earlier thread of what 1A Pikeville looks like. That should be the gold standard and if you’re not there you should be trying to get there. That place is amazing and says we are invested in your success. There are others that are equally as nice!
