According to the CJ, Brandon Dunn has been named their guy! https://www.courier-journal.com/story/sports/preps/kentucky/2023/12/18/kentucky-high-school-football-pleasure-ridge-park-khsaa-brandon-dunn/71966511007/ 2010 PRP grad who went on to play football for the Louisville Cardinals and then had a seven year career in the NFL with the Chicago Bears and Houston Texans.

I am also shocked that Coach Gillispie did not get this one. When you break down the tiers of JCPS teams this one has to be in the top tier. I am interested to see how well Coach Eckloff is able to transition. Seneca's schedule is completely different. They don't play T, X, Male, Ballard so I will be interested to see how well Manual is prepared for these games in the future.

Honestly dislike social media and what's wrong with this era. You take one clip and spin it how you want to. There could have been more said or this could have been taken out of context. Coach Hines has been around long enough to know how to run a program. Obviously the results are not as they want right now and I'm sure coaches, athletes, and parents are all frustrated. Find a better way than exploiting him in a 3 min clip.

BE just won one and Campbellsville is on the rise. Imagine if these 3 teams went and met with the counties that are doing this similarly. I had the opportunity to spend some time in TX. This is the norm. KY HS Football has the ability to be so much better.

Logistically it seems like all it would take is some coordination from the 3 HS head coaches? Maybe I am reaching.

Could they not create a league with each individual youth program and they all play each other. I am sure each has age/grade levels that could align similarly. I also believe it’s accomplished by having a guy in the seat who’s willing to work throughout the feeder program. If you sit only at the HS and leave your lower programs alone you don’t care about your foundation or the longevity of the program IMO. In an independent district I can imagine numbers are an issue when getting kids into the buildings (Enrollment, Building Space, Classroom Size Caps) so you should be trying to ensure a transition from youth league to MS so that you know those kids are in the building that feeds your program.

Congratulations to Daniel Thomas! I believe he averaged about 26 carries again with 9.6 Yards per carry! That is impressive! Well Deserved!

For a program that has been to the big game this seems like a late development for a feeder system. @JellyRoll do you know what took so long to get this going? I know they have a really nice park for youth soccer and there are some football fields there as well. Is football just behind the curve? It would seem to me that every school district not just in Elizabethtown and Hardin County would want this along with everyone in the state.

Raceland has put the ball on the ground a lot this year and specifically in the playoffs! Fortunately they have been able to make up for it.

Cov Cath was my pick all year to get to the State Finals and Boyle was my other! I absolutely love the matchup but there is just one factor that decides this one for me.. QUISENBERRY! This kid is electric to watch and is quick as lightning! Coach Haddix and the Rebels add another ring to that heavy hand! Boyle- 28 Cov Cath- 24

Can Coach Dudley and Bell keep CAL and that explosive offense off the field? If he can take some life out of the clock and avoid a track meet with CAL then I think they have a shot! If not I don’t think they can go TD for TD with this CAL team. They are well coached and extremely talented! I’d love to see Bell win and Thomas to win Mr. Football but I don’t see it here! I’m taking CAL and thinking no matter what this is the deciding game for Mr. Football! CAL- 42 Bell- 21 Cole Hodge airs this one out and wins Mr. Football.

Pikeville has had 9-10 Weeks to chew on that loss which included a series that many would argue that Pikeville scored its second TD! History repeats itself today in the slugfest of the century! I’m taking Pikeville. Pikeville- 28 Raceland- 14

I imagine this is a formality. Manual was successful this year I don’t see why he would be replaced.
