I feel like this will be a great tournament these teams have really beat up on each other this year.

Great win for the JV team Highlands has been beating up JV teams up all year. Good win heading into the final stretch of JV season. :ylsuper:

I cant argue for it being pre-seaon. 1-6 you can interchange. I would move Scott up to 7 along with their district rival, Brossart at 8. Campbell Co at 9 and SK at 10. No love for Coach Roberts and the Pioneers? They lost their ace but have a decent squad returning

They return alot of players from last year. Injuries happen Scott will be just fine. They will score alot of runs this year.

Where are your sources as far as them losing their two best pitchers the entire year?

Did i mention Ryle has returning varsity experience? Sorry those guys back plus a talent JV team. I understand they are different levels but people do graduate and people move up every year and those same kids eventually play varsity. This was all i was saying GEEESH:thumb:

Like Ryle, Conner, Cooper and Boone,,,,Ryle District winner. They were strong last year their JV team won the region. I feel they are the team to beat. Conner will be solid as well.

They have called many Independent schools in the state of Kentucky to play them. Some up North and South. I believe something fell through for alot of these boys and they were attending SC for school so they started playing there own schedule. There is a school in Tampa Florida called Tampa Bay International Academy who does a similar thing. They actually have a website. But yes the Scott County thing fell through.

I think SK's Big challenge inst effort or filling up the scoreboard. They do have very nice length i do challenge their physical toughness that's one of the main reasons they lose games that they shouldn't. A lot of times physical teams give SK fits and with this team there inst really a kid i look at a say WOW!!! he is going to bring us toughness. I think Munson was that guy so its going to be a challange to find that tough guy. They have the talent for sure. Say Nick Ayers shooting in a gym over the weekend and he has worked very hard on his mid range game.

They key in this game is if Scott can control the pace of the game. Scott did a great job of keeping the ball out of Franklin CO hands in the second half. Scott controlled the clock despite the fact Franklin had 3 Kickoff Returns for Touchdowns. Franklins offense was light years more athletic and more strong than Scott. Scotts offense moved the ball and made big plays at the line of scrimmage. Cassleman and Spata are to very nice running backs. Scott will not pass the football very much. I think Cooper's Offense comes out on top of this one but i dont think its going to be a blow out. Coopers key is to get Scott off the field so they can run their offense right at Scott. Hearing there is a young coach at Scott they really like and feel he will be a great coach down the road if they don't get him now they may never. But he is a Inexperienced varsity coach. This comes from a source from the school. Hear there was a few former staff members as well.

Hester has that team playing hard the entire time the clock is running! Great team to watch.

Scott Loses Two Starters and Returns alot of guys back. Led by Senior Hitters Kyle Kramer,Jared Best,Pete Ohmer and Brendan Wells. They should have the deepest pitching staff around and return top two starters in Jordan Pike and JR Ray Everett. Reed Spata and Josh Castleman return along with a JV team that made it to the region finals. I think the Eagles will be very very good.

Heard they wont be hiring anyone till mid July. They havent started a interview process and wont for another week or so.

Im pretty sure the rule for this tournament was you were only aloud to come back and throw if you threw two inning or less. The first pitch Martin threw Monday night in the third inning eliminated him for the rest of the tournament.You could only throw two innings or less to come back.

Last time I checked Ray Everett from Scott was ranked in the Top 25 in the State in ERA as a sophomore and pitched some gems this year. How he inst on this list is laughable he is def 5 or 6 on this list.

These two guys for sure with Ray Everett from Scott not to far behind. He is having a great year.

Pick your poison i see nothing wrong with bringing the infield in. If your in the majors in depends on whos running but we arent. Its high school baseball and turning double plays don't happen very much. So if the infield is back they get a force and the game is tied 2-2 after the fly out and they play extra. Or you bring the infield in and try to go to 2 to 3 for a DB or get the runner at the plate. Scott was playing to win in that inning and not play for extras. I'm saying turning a double play in high school isnt the easiest play to make. I dont see anything wrong with this approach. BBBS Put on a coaches shirt and get in the dug out. COV Cath has destroyed teams this year and Scott lost to them by one run twice. Something tells me the eagles are on the right path. I say put on a coaching shirt with LOVE Brother

Does Scott having anyone at the JV level that can help their offense out? Is there anyone that can give them a boost at the lower levels we can watch out for? I did hear they have been short handed this week. Missing a couple key guys.

Wells is a guy that gets lost in the mix of other guys because he can play multiple positions and their are some guys at his positions that are hitting the ball better than he at the moment. When Ohmer went down to a injury they needed a arm to step up and Wells stepped up and gave pitching a chance and really does a nice job in relief and really helps give them depth.

Great defensive game from what i heard.
