I agree with this 100%. 7 on 7 is good for team bonding, timing and getting reps against kids that are normally better than your 1's see in practice. It's a chance to see kids compete and have fun. But, it really has no indication on how successful your team will be with pads on.

They bounced back well after Fleming County beat them. Maybe woke them up! They had a good looking group of athletes.

It’s not just one game. It could potentially lead to several long trips if you win. In the current system, you are guaranteed short drives for the first 2 rounds. Also, with football teams you typically require more buses than other sports. Especially if the COVID rules do not change. Most schools had to double the number of buses they normally used this year.

This is what the superintendents and from what I gather, most coaches do not want. They don't want the possibility of having a 1st round game be over 3 hours away. I think the only way this changes is that we go back to a set "sister district" like 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, and 7-8.

If Coach Grizzle truly wants it, I hope he gets a shot at it. The deal at Hazard last year is going to sit wrong with some people though.

In volleyball/soccer district and regional tournaments, you could not exclude a team just because they were red. If they are red and want to play you have to let them play. The tricky part could be if the host team is red. If that happens then the lower seed can request a change of venue to a neutral site or to their place.

Final from Flemingsburg. Fleming makes it 8 in a row over their rival but most importantly move to 2-0 in the district.

RPI is always going to be tough for teams in this area. Beating Boyle is their only chance to get a really big boost.
