Not diagnosed because in the late 60's they just gave you that ammonia thing and went back in. I was playing linebacker for Southern HS JV team as a freshman and met Thomas Jefferson's (they were a high school then) Theodus Stephen's in the hole and it was like hitting a concrete block. I do believe there were cleat marks on my chest. I wobbled off took my ammonia and went back in. I don't remember much of the game afterwards, though. I heard we lost.

I remember Eddie when he was at Morehead. I was there at the same time. One of my fraternity brothers played with him at Pineville and I was around him a few times. Really great guy as I remember. I went to Pineville for football game in '73 and was there the night they gave the coach a car. I remember thinking that he must have been a god to get a car.

They are nice to have, I guess. Required, I can't think of an absolute necessary reason why they should be. Mostly pumps some mommy's or daddy's ego. As a coach, I kept stats, but never shared individual stats with the team, only team stats. Now I am sure some parents and players did keep their own individual stats and stats were placed in box scores, but they benefitted me I can't imagine anyone else. As a coach, I knew who on the opposite was doing well and their strengths and weaknesses. I was not one to give individual awards at the end of the season, only team awards to the team for goals we accomplished during the year. I did not have one parent or player complaint doing this. They may have grumbled behind my back, but if they did, it never got to me.

Yes. let's punish the kids because the adults don't do something. I never get that mentality. I never think we shouldpunish kids for adult actions. This is just not a biggie in my mind. Nice to have kind of thing to me.

I for one believe he does have the kids best interest in mind. He is not anti-kid. With that being said, this just seems inexcusable and really poor judgment on someone's part. Mr. Tackett, being the head person will take the hits. Maybe deserved. Let's see how they remedy this. There are things to think about. One kids went home, who pays them coming back. I say KHSAA, but those things have to be ironed out. No excuses, though, get the kids back there to compete, whatever the cost.

WE do not have a landline and haven't since 2000, unless you consider having one for a fax only purposes until 5 years ago. As far as the Emergency stuff. I find it hard to believe with less and less landlines, and it will only move in the less direction, that the technology isn't there to determine your exact location. I have to believe it and and on $$ is why things haven't converted over to cells. I am not an expert, but it has to be there.

Yes it does. All paid positions in public schools must be posted when there is a vacancy. Not everyone has to be interviewed, and only one can be, but it must be posted.

It makes no difference if you get on the wrong side of certain powerful people in the community or school district. None. Sometimes a person needs to decide to compromise their values or be ready to move on. I know that first hand.

Again, not a softball expert or even a little knowledgable, but there are no NKY schools from the tri-county area in the Top 50 (unless Holy Cross is Covington, which I don't think it is). Why is that? Has the talent pool gone down that much? Are the teams young? 2nd to 3rd population area in state doesn't make sense just sheer population numbers.

Sorry you took it wrong and were annoyed. Can't control how you interpret it. I was just curious, that's all, nothing more than that. For the record, I have never bashed kids or things they do on this site or the real world. I think it's great kids are supported. For home runs or anything a person thinks is worthy. Hopefully, people won't judge what they don't know and meanings they may not know. I don't follow softball at all nor some other sports and just don't know some things that are important.

I don't get why you are so upset. The kid is fine, WKU is fine, NKU is fine. The only one that isn't is you. Sometimes the issue is in the mirror.

OK, I am not being critical or sarcastic. Why are home runs being posted? Are they that rare? Or is there some other reason?
