Now my question to Mr. Tackett is: So five team didn't comply with your written requirement to post stats to MaxPreps to have then posted to the KHSAA website after each game! So how are they still playing in the KHSAA tourney?

 

So why should anyone post the required stats be it for Football, Basketball or any of the sports that are required to post stats, if indeed there is no penalty if you don't?

Yes. let's punish the kids because the adults don't do something. I never get that mentality. I never think we shouldpunish kids for adult actions. This is just not a biggie in my mind. Nice to have kind of thing to me.

Because they won their regions. Banning a team from the tourney doesn't even come close to fitting the crime of not posting stats. I don't trust home score keepers for the most part (@oldguy-although you are one of the few I'd trust).

To both rjs4470 and Bengal Maniac, then the Commissioner doesn't need to send an email out that says you are required to do this. Pretty simple really, either it is a requirement, or it isn't a requirement.

While I do agree that if you put out the direction that stats should be entered there should be some penalty for not doing so. I don't agree with the punishment of banning a team from post season play for failing to do so.

They are supposed to be fined.

I can't support banning the teams from postseason play - that seems overboard & the punishment doesn't fit the crime.

 

I do wonder why they don't post stats, though? And I also wonder why the KHSAA requires it, too.

I think they carry over from Maxpreps. So teams entering them on maxpreps, will be posted for that team's game, whatever game it is.

Just checking the teams listed above and saw that even though the OP says that Knox Central hasn't reported Stats, yet Jacob Nelson from Knox Central is among the batting average leaders with a .500 average. Jaxson Stewart also shows up in the state wide stats for Knox Central. So evidently Knox Central is turning in stats to someone at the KHSAA.

Knox has posted 20 games of the 35 they have played. So why not the other 15 games!? Did they pick and choose games to help their players keep their stats high? Don't know but why only 20 of the 35 games?

Thanks, for some reason the Riherds link I had showed no stats for anyone.

Rules should be followed. So should the punishment for not following them, which is a fine, not a loss of any games, including post season games.
