Mayfield has like 3 openings for Assistants...could be a good stepping stone for a young coach!

Very good hire, should make Murray competitive next year...Very well respected around the Paducah area in the short time he was at Lone Oak!

McNutt visited Memphis last week for what I hear and wasn't very impressed...MTSU was also giving him a look. Lots of chances to walk-on at bigger schools. This is an absolute steal for Coach Thomas and Campbellsville! Good luck to Tommy!

Mayfield's DC Brad Lawson also make the move north to Tornado Alley! The Tilghman "D" gets stiffer under Lawson...Lots of blitz packages utilizing speed will definitely be in the plans!

I believe he was offered by Ole Miss and Mississippi State, but that Arkansas quit recruiting him when Nutt left!

:laugh: Losing those 3 assistants is like WOW...:creepy: I mean that now leaves Mayfield with two assistants with a total of 2 years of Varsity coaching experience! Mayfield has now lost it's Top 5 assistants over the last 2 years! On another note, congrats to Coach Lawson...He is a great person and even better coach/motivator!

Said Tilghmans has over 80 kids on their track team...WOW...Said he will preach SPEED and more SPEED... If someone knocks their block off they won't be able to run...but I guess Coach Wyatt's thinking is we have to catch them first!:lol:

I guarantee he can throw it as far or hard as Guhy. I think Guhy will be a good one, but he must weigh like 120 max...:sssh:

I would love to see Mayfield experiment with Shelton at QB...Seems to be a pretty smart player and can give the Mayfield offense some "slash" factor. Especially with the running backs they have coming back...both of which are very good! I too feel Crittenden County will be a very tough opponent and Mayfield is still one year away from being scary good!

Don't really understand this hire??? Oh well, Tilghman will continue to compete in the postseason in the very watered down 3A class with this 6 class system...I just don't see him advancing the program or even keeping it at same level as Coach Thomas.

Mayfield and Milan played some spirited games a few years back... I like the concept very much Just 4Fun...I have always wondered why Mayfield didn't play Union City or Martin Westview and have always been told it is because they only have like 2 non conference games against crosstown or longtime rivals!

Uhhh, No, Paducah is like 3+ hours to Campbellsville. Congrats to Coach Thomas. Everytime I've had dealings he's been nothing but gracious! Campbellsville has made a very good hire here!

I totally agree Lone Oak was outmanned and it showed...they were however a very good team. It reminds me of the way NCC put it on Mayfield a few years back. Plus, I would bet if Winston Guy was running full speed at you EVERY play and your line couldn't hit him before he was past you many score would be lopsided... I still feel Lone Oak is 3A material and Lex Cath is 5A...I also think that Lone Oak would have beaten Lou. Central or Paducah Tilghman coming from the Western half of 3A. As we know Central upset Belfry!

The Flash have impressed lots of people in West Ky this year...Congrats on a GREAT year and picked the wrong team to come out somewhat flat and awe struck! Good luck to Mr. Robinson and the other Flash Seniors! 92 Tds to like 5 INTs is CRAZY no matter what schedule you are playing. I see the Flash only getting better as it is clearly the fastest growing school in McCracken County. Robinson had NO time to throw and the lack of a running game was brutal...I totally agree about 5 classes. Also, congrats to Catholic on another great year and championship!

Lone Oak needs to run the ball, Lex Cath is bringing the house...at Robinson!

Beechwood punt, kick returns, special teams have been huge! They started several drives from outside the 35 and have returned 2 for TD's & Slusher blocked a punt for a safety! WHAT A GAME TO START THE FINALS!

Slusher is single handily bringing this team back...Walls has concussion...big loss for his team!
