Lone Oak has left this morning from Paducah and should arrive in Lousiville about 1pm EST. They have also been practicing on Murray State's new fieldturf this week.

If Paducah Tilghman, Fort Campbell, and Lone Oak all make the state title games...something is definitely wrong...It is totally watered down then in some classes everyone is stacked together! Mayfield, Holy Cross, Beechwood, and Frankfort were all on one side the the Class A bracket...I mean at least get something right, KHSAA?

Lone Oak is racking up the penalities...lots of holds and 2 intentional groundings...so far!

It was in the Paducah Sun today and stated that Murray State wants him badly of course and that alot of smaller schools are interested. As of late bigger schools are calling and asking for tapes of Robinson. Said that Coach Haskins has a call setup with Nutt next week. I think he could do really well somewhere like Cincy or a MAC school!

It's kinda funny...I know both well and neither is use to being the color man...they both are the main play by play it seems like they are just trying not to step on each other! These teams just like to Slingggggggg it around...and somehow the WR's keep getting open! :lol:

They've got two of the better announcers in WKY calling this game...Nice setup/webcast by WPSD...

I saw in the paper today where he holds or has a chance to hold 7 state/national passing records before the year ends...I read where Houston Nutt at Ole Miss now is interested in getting him!

I think WPSD Sports director had this idea, man it has worked out well...I love it! Last week something like 12K people watched...pretty cool if other stations would follow around the state!

I think Frankfort is capable of winning this game, but all Beechwood has to do is block in the trenches and run it North/South...3.5 yards per down equals a first down Beechwood! I feel that Beechwood has the "Beef" to do it. Mayfield's backs tried to dance and get outside on the Panters which was just DUMB! I do think that Frankfort will score some points given a short field, but Beechwood's strength outdoes Speed in this one...although they say speed kills? :sssh: Should be a fun game to watch and field position will make the difference in this one! Beechwood 27 Frankfort 20 PS:I was already dreading next year where someone mentioned the travel...Mayfield if they make it that far will travel to most likely: 3rd Round--Frankfort/Louisville area (3 hours+) 4th Round--Beechwood (5 hours+) 5th Round--State Title Game (3 hours+) WOW...just doesn't seem right that it takes 5 hours to get anywhere in KY!

I really thought it was a great setting in a bottom with the neighborhood surrounding! I could really see people sitting on their roofs having cookouts out back ala Wrigley Field. I just found it odd, that being the "Capital City" there weren't more up to date facilities...I thought the PA announcer and band did a good job of getting the otherwise lethargic Frankfort crowd to react! Really enjoyed my 6 hours in Frankfort and we'll get you next year!

Congrats to Lone Oak on the win, slow night for them as Robinson ONLY threw 5 TD's. He said in the Paducah Sun this morning North Bullitt was able to get pressure on him while also covering well and said they had a nice gameplan. Thanks to WPSD-TV for coming up with the idea of a Webcast...hopefully other stations will follow around KY! Also for the comment on the webcast sponsors, I will pass on to my wife who is in charge of marketing for one of the sponsors...Hopefully there will be another webcast next week!

I could NOT believe Mayfield took more fans 4 hrs to a game than Frankfort had...Very nice fan showing for the Cards! My comments on the game: *Frankfort was better last night, but I don't think they are 3 TD's better...Not having McNutt killed Mayfield to start the game and set the tone for the night. You can't let a team like Frankfort start from their 40 on the first drive, and from Mayfield's 30 on the second drive. Wynstra is going to be a dandy, but it is funny how you really don't think about kickers until you need them badly! *Frankfort is well coached and has some stud players...Fields, #2, and especially #23 were very impressive...Good luck to the team the rest of the way. Mayfield playcalling is still very odd at times and I don't understand how you march straight down the field then get away from what is working and turn the ball over at the 2 yd line for example???:confused: * Frankfort's backs hit the holes as fast as I've seen in a long time. Mayfield's dance and everyone knew the Cards wouldn't be able to run East to West on them, but tried anyway--unsuccessfully! I think Frankfort might have some issues if Beechwood's line can allow their team to run North/South on them! *I can't believe the facilities, I mean Mayfield has some issues, but this place needs some renovations...someone needs to drive a few blocks and see Gov. Beshear and try to pickup a check or grant! The stadium is neat and reminded me of a Wrigley field style football complex. Just needs alot of TLC! The fans were very nice and I saw alot of respect among the players during and after the game! *It has been a pleasure to watch kids like Levi Pruett, Logan Armstrong, Brent Simpkins, Jared McCuiston and the other seniors! They play hard and most have played significant roles for the last 4 years at Mayfield! Good luck to them in the future!
