Frankfort pretty much dominated this game from the get go. Coachbuckett called an outstanding game with the same old tired plays. Mico Wells and Jordan Morgan stepped up for Frankfort as Quan Weaver probably played a total of 10 plays. Jordan Morgan was the leader again on both sides of the ball, and Mico returned an interception 44 yards for a TD. EJ seems to be back to100% hopefully Quan will heal up this week. There is no quit in Mayfield they played hard the entire game when other teams would have quit. Down 28-0 they score at the end of the first half and came out and drove deep into Frankfort territory before a holding penalty and some good Frankfort defense halted the drive. Frankfort then drove the length of the field and it was pretty much over. Congratulations to Mayfield on a great season and a clean hard fought game tonight.

The KIDS at FHS played great. They were focused and ready for the challenge. Just My opinion but I think Mayfield was a little shell shock in the first quarter. FHS speed is dangerous.

If tonight doesn't solidfy Craig Foley as the AP coach of the year in 2007 nothing does. Frankfort dominated from the get go and Mayfield looked shell shocked at the pace of the game early on from where I was standing. As long as FHS can score three times next week they move. The defense of FHS is for real and that is why they have a shot at the whole shootin match!! Good job Panthers....keep it rollin!!!

I agree Coach Buckett. Anybody in central kentucky that wants to see great football ought to be on the river next Friday. These are a great group of kids with lots of personality and tons of heart - they also have great leaders in the staff that Coach Foley has assembled:

 

Hats of to each and everyone of those coaches - offensive and defensive play-calling tonight was incredible. Coach Buckett had the offense rolling, dive, dive, dive, sweep, spot pass, ot, ot, keep, REVERSE, fumbleruskie:sssh:, end around - the Mayfield defense could not key on any one player b/c of the great play calling.

 

Coach Acklin did the same thing on defense. People might think you should shut someone out, but not in the second round of the playoffs. The 4th down stand in the third was brilliant (moving 83 around a bit) and the tackling was superb.

 

Coach Roberts has done a great job with both of the lines with the Panthers controlling both sides of the ball.

 

Marty, James, Terry, OG, Booker WHAT A STAFF - who are great role models too, and what great execution of a well designed game plan by the Panthers. It has been awesome watching them grow and mature for the last 4 years.

I do not like getting anyone fired up. If you say something good about FHS someone gets mad and if you say something bad about FHS someone gets mad.:madman:

 

IMO they have the team to win the state championship, too much speed and great athletes, if they do not something went wrong.

 

This is my last post about Frankfort as someone always gets upset no matter what is posted.
