I heard today that Mayfield has a very good practice at the indoor complex due to the rain! DLineman Lawson will play, as will Brent Simpkins...Mayfield's stud kicker/punter Tommy McNutt is doubtful this week, but freshman Marc Wynstra kicked very well at Fulton City last week. I really prefer the Massey because you can compare, Offense, Defense, and Strength of Schedule against opponents instead of just having a power ranking. IMO, Massey scores are usually close but I look more at their game score and not just the point spread. Usually this time of year those ranking mean diddley squat!:creepy:

Mayfield was #4 coming into the Fulton City game and Fulton City was #3. Mayfield moved up to #2 this week and Frankfort stayed at #5. Remember, these ranking don't take into account people voting just on W/L records as some AP pollsters do. They are a culmination of the entire season thus far...

I know this is why we play games and don't let computers decide outcomes, but since Frankfort looks to be the favorite among BGPer's I thought I would share. A few interesting tidbits I pulled from the "Massey Ratings" which besides the BGP rankings...:sssh:, seem to be the most accurate of all the ratings. *Mayfield is ranked #2 in Class A, Frankfort is #5. *Mayfield's Offense is #8 in Class A, Frankfort is #5. *Mayfield's Defense is #1 in Class A, Frankfort is #7. *Mayfield's Schedule is #1 toughest in Class A, Frankfort is the 14th toughest. The more I read and think about this game the more I like Mayfield's chances...I'm sure the team will leave early AM and stay at a hotel most of gameday afternoon to watch film, eat, and have a final prep rather than spending it on a bus/road. There is NO way the Cards should be flat for this game! It does sound like Frankfort is alot like the Bardstown team from 2005 and this Mayfield definsive team is better equipped to handle speed. I think Mayfield can pass especially play action but can they stop the occasional Frankfort pass. D'coordinator Brad Lawson will have the Cards as prepared as possible and usually is able to defend the option offense. I totally agree it comes down to how Mayfield's QB, OL, and K/P are health wise VS how Frankfort's QB and super soph player are come gametime. I guess I'll say: Mayfield 27 Frankfort 20 Hope the Cards bring a crowd...and leave it all on the field!

I haven't seen him in person since late last year, so it is possible he grew and inch or so...and put on some weight.

He was bobbing his head and strutting after several big tackles and was playing a whale of a game...I didn't see the hit in question and hate to hear this...Prayers from the Cards and BGP family.

Did u see the "Tebowesque" jump pass Logan threw at the goal line...I was like...oh that does work! Kicker McNutt has a bruise after getting killed on a botched snap, but it looks as if he should be fine. Mayfield's DL Lawson looks to be out for the year, but the fill in's did a very nice job tonight!

I would say about a legit 6'0 180 lbs...He is a VERY smart player with his decisions...it is sad he doesn't play closer to the big cities. The offense is fast and furious, but I don't care if you are playing 3rd graders...81 TD's in 12 games is SWEET! I believe he also has several rushing also...

I believe it is now 81TD's to 4INTS:eek::eek::eek: I really believe he is a little small to really play QB in D1, but he could prove me wrong. I see him as a receiver...He could really make an impact at a school like Murray State.
