  1. It sounds like Boone can pack their bags.
  2. Not packing them yet I hope. This one could really go either way. Brady has a tendency to go to the basket like a freight train. Boone County's guards do a good job of getting into position to take charges. Brady has to be mindful of that or he could see himself sitting, which would be pretty devastating for NCC.
  3. Highland played NCC pretty tough in both games, but was very physical, which in my opinion this NCC team doesn't like. Boone County doesn't appear to be a real physical team, which bodes well for NCC. I like McQueary, but unless he's willing to really mix it up then this thing will come right down to the wire. Cooper Downs will be the best guard on the court, which will allow Boone to ultimately prevail in what should be a very good game.
  4. A Highlands Hater is one thing, but an ill-informed Highlands hater is another. Based on the draw Highlands had to beat Dayton and Bellevue. Unless you didn't know that, your bias would lead one to suspect you may be lacking the necessary capacity to post on here.
  5. A win against an obviously overrated Dixie team and a 10-19 Highlands team really shouldn't be that confusing.
  6. It’s so tough to defend because they're so disciplined when running it. There are a ton of good offensive schemes out there. These guys just execute so well. Good luck Rebels, especially to Chase and Cooper.
  7. I was very impressed with Boone County. Cooper Downs really did a masterful job in orchestrating the offense. Boone had a significant stretch where they didn't have a turnover. I think Boone by at least 10.
  8. I don't think anyone said he tried to do anything. Don't mischaracterize what was said. He was a threatened action. It was beyond classless. I'll agree he played a very good game, but when you tried to put the Halo over him tonight you were simply not privy perhaps to what all the young man stated on the court tonight.
  9. No trash talking from Bray. You are either being untruthful or are ignorant. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and will assume it's the latter.
  10. In the first game between the two schools the score was 59 to 31. (28 point differential) In this game the score was 13-8. (5 point differential) Well, either one team improved tremedously within the last 50 days or so, or one coaching staff improved tremendously within the last 50 days. Not sure who made the call for the Highlands, but it sounds like it almost produced a win. If there are player's parents from Highlands grumbling from this, my suggestion is to have your daughter pick her game up, so the coaching staff doesn't have to resort to this to prevent what would probably have been another lopsided loss.
  11. I really think the McDonald kid is going to be a dominat player one day. People often place quick and high expectations on young men when they're as big as McDonald. There is a huge difference between 15 and 18 years old kid. I'd love to have this kid at Highlands.
  12. Tough night for Highlands who misses Abner's leadership on the floor. Sydney Watson plays really hard.
  13. They say when these two teams play you can throw out the records. This year I really like that idea.
  14. Congrats to Covington Catholic! Not a good day for baseball tomorrow anyway.
  15. I think if they're any baseball players playing basketball for Covington Catholic tomorrow will be a nice day for your first baseball practice.
  16. This is a fun time of the year. I think most teams play a little better. I have heard that Dayton had 26 technical fouls called on them this year. Is that accurate? Highlands just needs to relax and play as a team and they could make a little noise. Assuming they get by Dayton they'll need to start knocking a few 3's down to open things up inside. Q this is the Price is Right prediction thread so I'll say the Bird's by 16.
  17. If you're suggesting my statement is the equivalence of an anointment then I think you might be reaching a little.
  18. When you average 20 plus turnovers a game I don't care how big your team is. It's simply a team void of a ball handler. With that being said they'll probably win the district.
  19. Congrats to Goose!
  20. Thanks for sharing the link to the pics Q!
  21. Holy Cross shot 24 free throws compared to Highlands's 6.
