Boone County v. Lloyd Memorial Predictions

Featured Replies

I was very impressed with Boone County. Cooper Downs really did a masterful job in orchestrating the offense. Boone had a significant stretch where they didn't have a turnover. I think Boone by at least 10.

If Bray plays like he did last night They keep it close but Boone Co will win by probably 8-10.

Mcqueary will be tough to defend in this one and he should be able to get Bray into foul trouble.

Lloyd will have to knock down 3's and Bring the city of Erlanger.

Boone Co 60

Lloyd. 50

Thought that Towles would have been able to accomplish this. He did get 2 on Bray in the 1st half. Wonder if we will see McQueary with the ball top of the key, 25 feet from the hoop?

I wouldn't even think of trying to predict a score on this one. As Q said, it is all about Lloyd shooting the 3 pointers. If they get hot, they could make this a ball game. If they shoot like they did versus Highlands, Boone could win by 20+. This is a very hard game to predict in a lot of ways. If I am Lloyd, I shoot quick, press and try to get this game up tempo. If they let Boone control the tempo, it could get ugly. It will be an entertaining game. Bray is worth the price of admission whether it is the spectacular dunk or block or wondering what craziness he will pull next on the court.

Why wouldn't you? That is how Boone runs a big part of their offense - McQueary at the top of the key and at the point shooting threes. Pull Bray out top and let McQueary and Downs pick apart Lloyd with passes inside for easy baskets.

Not familiar with McQueary's game. I wasn'r reaal tuned in on the 1st game last night, but don't recall him as being an outside threat last night. Maybe I'm wrong. On the flip side of that Towles is no threat at all from 25 feet, but could have been dominant in the post.

The best part of McQueary's game is shooting the 3. Holmes did a good job taking that away last night and to McQueary's credit he didn't try to force them up.

As to Towles 25 feet out, you are right about that. If I were Highlands, I would have kept feeding him and True in the post. Outside of Bray, Lloyd is very small. Highlands didn't do enough to try and take advantage of that.

Boone is my pick. Downs really impressed me tonight they are a well coached machine. They play to each others strengths and play team basketball. I think this will be e a double digit win. Boone will enforce its game and Bray will become unglued

Its been a struggle all year long keeping those two down low on the post. I know they start him high on a couple sets and then move him down low but they were doubling him and then the Highlands wings were forcing it a couple times. He got good looks a few times against Bray but they rimmed out.

Lloyd does lack size so any team should try to capitalize on that and attack the basket from the inside.

Lloyd faced Dixie in the districts and Stansberry tried to pull Bray away from the basket by shooting 3's.

Pretty sure Dixie is now more focused on baseball practices than basketball now...

Enjoy the ride Juggs fans....its been quite some time. The Bray kid is definitely entertaining.

McQueary will not be hard to defend, Bray is 100 times more athlethic than him, end of discussion. This will be a close game, Lloyd shoots the ball better as a team than Boone, alot has been said about Boone's offense but they will have to defend Lloyds shooters, Carter, Williams, Asher and Bray. Where is Boone if McQueary gets in foul trouble? Im expecting a close game, could come down to last possesion.

McQueary faced Rice in the Holmes game and still got his points. McQueary is definitely not as athletic as either of those guys but he is a very heady player, uses head fakes well and has a quick release. As to foul trouble, Boone would not miss McQueary as much as Lloyd would miss Bray.

Have you checked the shooting stats on Lloyd's guys? I don't think they are that great of shooters.

I am looking forward to watching Pitts play tomorrow. He is a very scrappy player and gives the Rebels a jolt off off the bench. Boone County has too much talent and should win but Bray gives the Juggs a puncher's chance.

The Lloyd crowd was A+++ against Highlands. Should be even better tomorrow. :dancingpa
