It is refreshing to see such a surge of Lloyd energy. Lots of Erlanger people enjoying this ride, and that is a good thing!

Lloyd 50 Bc 42...Bray scores 30+ on his own knocking dowm open 3s and driving right passed anyone guarding him allowing him to shoot alot of free throws...Williams locks dowm on mcqeary sp?...I also see no one on BC quick enough to guard the pg for Lloyd who I nicknamed Mugsy after seeing him the first time the other night...BC really escaped a run their by Holmes in the first 5 min that wouldve put BC in a huge hole early and I dont see them getting lucky enough to dodge 2 bullets in 2 nights...

I can't wait to revisit this thread in 12 hrs.

Not sure if this is going to work or not, but here are the rosters as they would appear on my stat program. Of course, I don't know how much either roster has changed since we last played them. We played @Lloyd on December 3, 2011 winning 94-79, Lloyd hit 17 threes that night and played our next game @Boone County on December 6, 2011 losing 83-76.

I don't think you've seen Boone play enough times this year.

Hope Lloyd wins, but I think Boone pulls this one off. Boone may not be as athletic, but they play smart, sound, fundamental ball. Bray will have to have a career game and stay out of foul trouble. I think Boone will try to put it inside and get Bray in foul trouble.

If Lloyd is able to knock down a lot of 3's they will be in this game, but if they shoot like they did against Highlands, it might be a long night for the Juggs.

Now Lloyd is quick and has some athletes, but no more than Holmes and the 'dogs could not get to the basket. The difference is that Holmes shoots poorly and McQueary was making them beat them from the outside, they contested everything inside. I think they'll do the same with Lloyd. If the Juggs knock down some 3's, the Rebels will have to adjust, then things might change. As far as McQueary, Holmes had him doubled, tripled sometimes, he was patient and killed them by dishing to the open man. They certainly thought he was the key to beating them. He is one of the smartest players in the region. Pick your poison, guard him man to man and let him get his 25 or double and get back doored all night. Lloyd's defense is not near as good as the 'dogs. If they get a lead and get BC to play catch up, then the game turns to their advantage with a fast pace. If BC is ahead by more than 4 in the 4th, it is probably over, they handle pressure pretty well and do not miss free throws. It's doable for Lloyd, but it won't be easy, and I don't think likely.

Lloyd shot 38 % from the field which isnt that bad. They were 6-18 from 3pt land which is 33% and pretty avg for HS teams. If you factor in the big Arena they actually shot the ball well.

 

They just threw up some silly shots when they didnt have to late in the game which gave Highlands a few extra opportunities.
