Danville may have improved since the Boyle game, but most other quality teams have also. You do realize that Danville may have played in the weakest region of any of the classes during the state playoffs. That is not their fault that the teams were so weak this year. They did go ahead and take care of business and win out. Now is when you are able to tell how much you have improved.

Not even well into the 3rd quarter. Some starters didn't play at all in the last half against the Ads. Danville kept their starters in the entire game. I don't blame them because they were trying to develop something positive from the game and not be completely embarrassed. The final score could have been much worse. Danville's last tw0 scores were against 2nd and 3rd team defenses.

The Boyle game may be misleading from the fact that very few of the Boyle starters played in the 2nd half of that game. The score was 41-7 at the half with a running clock. The Boyle reserves had a first down inside the Danville 10 yd line with 3 minutes to go and Chuck Smith had his JV QB take a knee 3 straight snaps to basically end the game. Take out 3 big plays in any game and it can change the complexion of the game.

With a healthy Josiah, Boyle would not have lost to LC at home. but that is football and you play sometime when you are not 100 %. Central is really tough at home. Had that game had been at Boyle the score could have been reversed.I feel that Central will beat LC. Two reasons, I think they are a little better and second there is a definite home field advantage for Central. On the subject of this team having better talent than those early state champions, not even close. Those teams with Jeff Duggins at QB and all that supporting cast that I am not naming in fear of leaving someone out were much better. Duggins went 45 and 0 as starting QB. He had a pro mentality. Nothing bothered him. I don't like to compare, but this needed to be said.

I am pulling for Mercer. I just hope their weak schedule the last few games doesn't hurt them. Knox is not an easy team to play. Don't discount them. Any team that was able to beat Louisville Central as they did is a good team.

After being blown out by Boyle Co., Danville has played in such a weak district and overall weak schedule, it is very hard to tell what they are capable of against good competition. I think they will beat Leslie OK, but after that it will be very tough.

Today is Tues. 3days before the game with no more rain in sight. Why are we talking sloppy field? Looks like a great matchup. We can try and figure out the winner from every angle. It all comes down to making your breaks and keeping turnovers to a minimum. Both teams are very good.

Boyle's best all around player and one of the state's best 8th graders did not play in the game because of an injury. The team sure picked it up without him in those last three games. Congrats.

Central Hardin is a good team that has some losses against very good teams. I have not seen Woodford play except in highlight clips, but I think CH wins 35-7.

Taking care of business by winning this game at home would show that Mercer has really improved over the season. GRC may be winless, but they have played such a difficult schedule that they are a quality opponent for Mercer. Hope that Mercer continues on their upswing with a big win.

I think Boyle will win the game. I don't see the running clock. Both teams have a week off to prepare. Garrard is much better than they showed at Lloyd. Boyle is much better than they showed at Lincoln. Lincoln had Garrard beaten and let the game slip away. Both teams are well coached. A lot to think about.

I didn't pick a winner. I just think CH might have an advantage in the rain. Do they have natural grass or a artificial turf field? That would make a difference.

Rainy weather could make a big difference in this game. I would think it might give CH more of a edge than BG.

I will give Spencer the nod here, playing at home and having a lot more to finally prove against Collins. I think Collins is a better team than they were able to show against Boyle. Boyle can make you look bad when they are hitting on all cylinders like they were last week at Collins. It should be a very good game to watch. I have been watching the big turnaround at Spencer the last couple of years. Must have a very good coach along with improved talent.

I had to miss this one. Sounds like everyone played well on both sides of the ball. This is a special group with many very good players that most people haven't heard about yet. We all know about the outstanding ones that don't come along very often, but some of the other kids with growth and maturity can be right up there with them.

Remember that Collins had an extra week to prepare for this game. That usually helps. I think Boyle wins the game, but it is away and I don't see the easy blowout that many are predicting. Boyle by 21.

Boyle might have opted to move up to 4A if Brandon Smith had not been in 4A at South Warren. There would have been a good possibility they would play each other not only this year but several times in the future. This is not something they would want to do. Play in your class and if you want to schedule up, do so early in your season as Boyle did with Central Hardin this year. Why would a 3A school with much smaller numbers want to play in 6A just to pacify a few misguided followers.

I think South Warren will have a very good scouting report to work from. This would be an advantage Boyle did not have in their game with CH.

I think Boyle will win by at least 3 TD,s but AC is a good team. You can't overlook them by any means. I know AC had trouble with Danville in their scrimmage, but that was just a scrimmage. Should be a great game for the fans.
