Very sad to hear and read this. I would love to see some numbers on the students who were 'lost' to the charter schools as well. Is that the only reason the student base declined so much? Sorry for Coach Hurley, and I am sure there are others, who put so much blood, sweat, and tears into keeping the school going. But hey, maybe he can move to NKY and be an assistant coach under his old assistant at Cov Cath!

I recently bought one - Canon PIXMA MX492 WiFi All-In-One Compact Size Printer, Scanner, and Fax. Since I do little printing I did not want to spend much, so this one was only $35. Most Wireless printers seem to not have good easy to follow directions to connect to the network, but once you get past that this one works great as well. One thing I also found - I wanted to buy extra ink so I shopped on-line. Staples Combo packs were $55.00 - which was the same price as buying thru the Canon store. However, the Cannon store had free shipping AND a bunch of free photo paper included. They sent me over $200 of free paper! 12 packs of it to be exact. Good way to get one to buy more ink eh???

I had a recent experience with Fed Ex. I ordered two shirts. Their system never said could not be delivered to my POB so I gave them that address rather than my Appt. Jos Bank split into two shipments. Rec'd a call few days later from Fed Ex saying could not deliver to my POB so I had them deliver to my work address. One shirt showed up next day. Other shirt said left on Porch in tracking. I called FedEx and they would not tell me address of Porch. Told me I needed to get address from Shipper. Shipper told me my POB. FED Ex said that was not the address, but would not give me address where they left it. Found out two days later it was delivered to my Ex-wife's house that used to be mine. I have not been there for 8 years. Looked at the package, and Fex ex replaced the label from the shipper with a Corrected address - to the house I have not lived in for 8 years! Why could they not tell me that when I was chatting with them for 20 minutes???? Yea Yea moral of the story is to never try and have anything shipped to POB, but from past experiences seems most things I order on line will get delivered there.

Thats some funny stuff right there. However calling the kids sell outs is very immature IMO. I would think the majority of the players at Cov Cath would probably end up there even if they were not basketball players. If parents want their kid to go the private route, and the kid wants to, thats where many of them go. But, for anyone who does play ball and is good, why not go to Cov Cath? The exposure the program is getting you now is invaluable, from the college coaches coming in, to the experience of playing in the tourneys such as the one in NY/NJ, and is proving that it is able to help with getting your college paid for. Why not go play ball there if you are good enough. It is not for everyone. Look at the kids who play freshman, and some sophmore and then stop. If they went there solely for basketball, they would transfer right? How many do? Certainly not the majority. One thing that I have come to learn in my old age is the feelings that I had towards schools such as Highlands and the football program. I think many people now have the same feeling towards the Cov Cath Basketball program. IMO Jealousy is a much better word to describe the feeling than Hatred. And if one feels that way, so be it. You are the one feeling that way and it has zero effect on the ones in the program

Any idea how serious / how long? I know it did not look good seeing him on crutches at the end of the bench the other nite after getting hurt.

Congrats to Cov Cath on pulling this out. Dixie had a great game plan, and executed it very well in the first half. Their long possessions led to simple baskets and limited Cov Cath's ability to run. I also think however that Nowak going down so early in the game it hurt them a lot on the defensive end. He really gets up in the face of the opponent. Hopefully he is not out too long. His injury and foul trouble in the first half allowed some of the younger guys to log more minutes then normal, and I thought they did very well, especially in that atmosphere. Both student sections I thought were loud and great, and did a good job of going back and forth all nite. Very entertaining.

I thought you only had like 5 or maybe 6 years to use KEES money as well. So, if you drop of of school for a while and then go back you may no longer be able to use it. Not 100% sure but I thought that was the case.

You could certainly search on line for an SSD that will fit your model computer. HD's are normally very easy to switch out, and I am sure you can even find a youtube video showing how to do. Do you happen to have a MicroCenter near you? A place like that is one that you could go in, show them what you have, tell them you want an SSD, and they can show you your options. Biggest thing about getting new Hard Drive in existing machine though is you are in essence getting a new machine. None of you Software, settings, favorites, etc will be installed. You will need to do all of that.As long as you have good back up you should be ok there too. Again, this is something that one of the tech guys at micro center or someplace similar can help you with if you are nervous.

Like others have said, seems to me that you have plenty of machine. Another thing that could be screwed up is some of your registries. I would run CCLeaner, which does a lot of other things as well, to help performance. I would recommend the SSD for any new machine, and in fact before buying a new one I would think to install a new SSD in the current machine first. I did that not too long ago to an older HP, and it truly was amazing how much the speed improved. Even simple things like boot up and windows up dates were processed in a fraction of the time after switching to SSD.

Eighth-grader with autism steps onto the basketball court - Story FLORENCE, Ky. -- Thursday night was Mitch Shelley’s chance to shine. Shelley, an eighth-grader with autism, attended every practice of the Ockerman Middle School basketball team during the 2016-’17 school year. As the team’s manager, he ran drills, gave pep talks and kept track of equipment for his teammates. "He keeps morale up with the team," said Coach Wes Combs. For the team’s final game Thursday, Combs decided to do something special: He invited Shelley onto the court. "I got a real quick smile and a, ‘Sure, I can do that, coach,'" he said. Shelley donned a No. 43 jersey and played forward in the team’s last game of the season -- and the final game of his middle school career. He was a starter and scored the first points with a special play his team called "the Mitch and Roll." Mitch will attend Boone County High School next year, and who knows: You might see him continue his basketball career there.
