Noticed that Scott High School is 2A in Region 4. I was thinking that Scott was a 3A school. Does anyone know if they have been 2A for a while, or is that new with this realignment?

I saw him get on some of the grade school kids this past season pretty good. Was real surprised to see how intense he was with them. I did not remember him being that way at Cov Cath.

I would have no problem with any of my kids going this route, and in fact would encourage it if the opportunity were there. As already stated the academics at these academies is top notch, and the fact that you can serve 20 years and retire, IMO is awesome. Being retired around the age of 40, drawing full government benefits, and then working a job you enjoy doing for a while, sounds really appealing to me! I do recognize though that not everyone is cut out for this, and it really comes down to is that person able to do it!

Honestly was not trying to spin it at all - just asking the question to see what the Highlands fans thought about it. I have had sons in the basketball program at Cov Cath and that was the opinion on Listerman, voiced loudly by those inside and outside Cov Cath - So I was curious why it seemed Highlands faithful would want a guy whose reputation was wanted one sport only guys. Again, I did not agree with the reputation but it was/is out there.

I really do not care if he ends up on the bench if his son gets the job, but I find it interesting that Highlands fans would want him there. The reason I say this is, one of the 'complaints' that was always out there with Mike is he did not want his players participating in other sports. I personally did not see nor agree with this, but it was always out there during his tenure at Cov Cath. So, you Highlnads folks want that?

Not sure about KY, but in NKY I would agree with this. I think the relatively few number of head coaches the school has had, are testimony to that. IMO the Ruthsatz's are happy with their children at Pius and Cov Cath, so hopefully he decides to hang at CCH for a long time. Only time will tell though I guess.

Why? I guess I disagree with this whole sue happy state america is in now adays. Was the kid hurt because of negligence? Did someone break the law causing injury? I am no where close to being a lawyer, and as such am not qualified to say how this case will go. But it is getting very old to me with the sue everybody view we have in society today. I also agree with some of the things being stated above as to what will happen next. Dang, I just realized my folks should have sued Converse when my chucks came untied when I was running as a kid, I tripped on the shoestring and got a nasty boo-boo. We could have been rich as converse should never design shoes to come untied. Right?

Are you saying this is true at Highlands or anywhere? I do not believe this is the case at all schools who accept out of district students - maybe at Highlands but not everywhere.

Ok - Well at least a really good partial scholarship covering almost everything.....

Thanks for sharing this story. Seems we get to hear a few of these types of stories each year since the Castellini group has taken over. Makes me wonder how many of these things happen, that no one hears about. Kudo's to the Reds organization (as well as to you and your friends) for this wonderful gesture!
