I think he was headed to Morehead State before the UK offer came but it almost certainly would've been one of those two.

He stated in the presser that it would have been WKU if not UK. That WKU contacted him daily.

What goldie said. Multiple people were reporting from the presser saying that Hawkins said "WKU was definitely the school he considered next the most."

Glad to see he gets to fulfill a dream of his. I don't think UK should turn down or not pursue every top level recruit, but they do need some guys like this as well. It'll be interesting to see the progression of Hawkins over 4 years.

Dominique announced this morning his decision to play college basketball at the University of Kentucky. This was announced in front of all his classmates, family and numerous media outlets.
