Heard from an official today who saw tape of the play. According to what he saw on tape, Prewitt #4 was whistled for a push off foul, which would have been his 5th foul. The official scorer was correct. One thing that would have made this an absolute mess - the officials agreed this was a correctable error, however, according the the rulebook it is not a correctable error.

You saw a different game than I did. When did Walsh do any of those things? He played a hard nosed game and helped Pendleton County move on to the semis...end of story. He should be congratulated for a tremendous effort.

Anyone who was at that game will not forget that finish. What a game it was!

Brossart has been VERY good this year but Pendleton has seemed to be playing better lately. Maybe we will get the chance to see again in March.

I must say after playing in the 3rd, 8th, 9th, 12th, 15th, and 16th regions in the last couple years, it sure does make you appreciate the officials in the 10th region. Not all of them are great, but when you compare 10th region officials to other regions officials, the 10th is by far much better.

Come on guys. Lets put the record to the side. I would like to see how many coaches could go to Newport and win with the types of things Aric put up with day in and day out and yes it is more than just the wins and losses. Aric has done a fantastic job with those kids. He has had to have a much different type discipline than most of you think of when you think of discipline. Some of those kids had some rough situations that Aric helped out with time and time again. He had as much discipline as he could without not having a team. There have been many times Aric has looked out for those kids well being whether it be academically, socially, or even attendance at school. Not to mention the number of players that have left over the years that could have helped him win but due to family problems, mortgage/rent problems, or any other number of problems had to move somewhere else. The number of players and families Aric has helped over the years far outweighs the number of wins and losses. There will be discipline. Aric will do a good job at CC and I wish him well.

I understand most all on your list but Bracken and Deming? Not with the district that Bracken is in and certainly not seeing Deming.

Harrison's JV team was impressive. What was their final record? I know in the 38th they beat Nicholas and Deming and lost to Pendleton by 1 but they couldn't have lost to many teams in the 10th.

There was a JV regional for the 10th?

Gonna throw this out there for a reason fans dont attend games, particularly the students. I understand economics has a lot to do with it BUT... This came from a Scott County fan when asked why there are 2400 students in the high school and hardly no fans, particularly students. Could it possibly be some schools like Scott County and Mason County do not have as large of a following anymore because the players are NOT Scott Countians or Mason Countians. Anotherwords, half of the team or so didnt even grow up in the county. These schools have players that have transferred in. This Scott County fan said many fans dont feel any "ownership" with the players and can't identify with them. They simply don't know who they are and haven't been able to watch them "grow up" into young men. Look at a school like Elliott County last year that had home grown talent and the fans absolutely fell in love with. Just a thought I would throw out there.

Anyone know how the 9U teams are looking? Is there any Pendleton County teams down there and if so did they pack a crowd like the high school team? Guess a little young for that, but they have great crowds to look forward to one day.

Henderson played about as well as they could but Christian had to many athletes in the end. The Christian/Newport matchup should be a good one.

According to the brackets the home team should sit on the home team bench and the home team crowd should sit on the home team side, which at Mason County is designated as the side behind the benches and score table. Mason fans should have been made to sit on the opposite side but I guess feathers didnt want to be ruffled and those who are so comfortable in their seats might have to sit in a seat on the opposite side of the gym. Hopefully, this will be looked at by 10th Region AD's and if no changes are made I guarentee coaches will have their teams sit on the visitor bench.

If Clark Co. wears the home white and sits on the home bench with the Mason Co. students behind the bench, I believe Mason Co. will win. Students behind the opposing bench are very loud, obnoxious, and at times throw out some derogatory words. Becomes a part of that mental toughness players try to overcome and often times don't because of the comments made.

What was the response? Obviously to the negative...but was their a reasonable explanation at least?

Why would the opposing teams student section be designated to be behind the bench at a neutral site? Sounds a bit off.

Congratulations Lady Bears. Well deserved. It's a shame this thread isnt about the Lady Bears and what they accomplished. Most on this thread want to talk about things of the past, but I havent heard hardly a thing about the game. Would someone please tell us a little about the game? Stats havent been posted by anyone yet, but could someone give a summary of the game and who came up big for Bracken County. Obviously someone must have played huge down the stretch. Maybe I missed it scrolling through all the "extra" on this thread, but it did get a little old reading the same old thing. Lets give these girls from Bracken County some credit!!!

They are 10-8 on the year.

Parents are sometimes out of hand. From screaming at the referees, to yelling at their own kids (or even others), to yelling at the coach, to blaming anyone and everyone else for failure and absolutely making a fool out of themselves and embarssing others, some parents just dont support the team anymore. I think each parent should go through some type of training on sportsmanship or "how to act as a parent." If they dont attend the training their child does not play. Any problems during the season they are kicked out and not allowed back. Zero tolerance policy. I believe they may do something like this in Florida. I thought the state of Florida may start a national trend a couple years ago but that doesnt appear to have happened.

Any details on this one? I believe this puts PC at 2-1 and St. Pat at 0-3.

Both teams won. Can't remember exactly but Bracken won by like 10 to 12 and Pendleton won by something like 18.
