10 Good
  1. Augusta probably got the second best draw they could have got. Only will have to play one of the 10ths two best team and with a player as good as Bach ANYTHING can happen. Go Panthers!
  2. The game started off bad for the wildcats, technical foul for being on the rim while the refs were out. Then Augusta came out pressing from the start and got up big early. Really just killed PC. And it didn't help they didn't have anyone to guard Bach. All of Augusta really just did whatever they want, drove the lane all night. Was never really a game. I think they closest PC got was 15.
  3. Quick question for you guys, who were the refs last night?
  4. Championship or bust for this team. There is no reason that they shouldn't win the Nat'l Championship. Like I said earlier, who will match up with them 1-7? If you say someone can then I will call you a liar!!
  5. In all seriousness Deuce ESPN.com has them as having two championships. I'm not sure why they haven't added last years. I just went and looked and posted that. I should have know better!
  6. Easy big guy... Might want to check my post
  7. In all seriousness this team could easily go undefeated and win the Nat'l Championship. You go through their schedule and here is where I could see some slip-ups. Mich. St., @North Carolina, Louisville (but it is at Rupp soooooo hehe :thumb: ), @Vandy, Florida (again this game is at Rupp), and then @Florida. But this is easily the most talented team in College basketball. I just don't know who can match us 1-7 plus you add in Hawkins and Willis as wildcards. I read on KSR a few weeks back where Cal said that the PG Harrison (I always get confused with those two haha) is the best PG in the nation, Randle is the best player on the team, and James Young is the best player in the nation. Take that as what you want... Time for nine!
  8. I'm sure Talbert Sr. will be at many games. He is one of the most loyal fans PC has!
  9. Sad that MOCO will probably win the region because of all the transfers... When will the KHSAA put a stop to this? They will let the schools decide on post-game hand shakes but won't do anything about out of state transfers. SMH. This just gets to me.
  10. Can't ever count out a Buddy Biggs coached team but, I look for Fleming to be back at Rupp come March. Even without Darion for the duration of his injury the Panthers still have a solid core group of seniors with Steward, Crisp, and Saunders.
  11. Will definitely be a rebuilding time for the Wildcats this year. As LC stated only one returning player saw serious minutes last year (Koeninger) the rest of the team will be Varsity "rookies" haha. But when you have 7 seniors the year before how would anyone get time? I saw a few JV games last year and from what I saw Jones kid can light it up at any moment. The Wood boy also played JV last year as a freshman and should be moving up to Varsity I would assume. He is a good little ball player with nice handles. The rest of the team will really be a mystery until the season starts and we see who is on the floor. We could see a lot of underclassman playing this year for the Wildcats. Will definitely be fun to see how PC will look without Mr. Monroe. TAC from my sources around ole Falmouth Talberts nephew decided to not play this year.
  12. Locally, I think Football takes the crown. State-wide I feel it is Basketball without a doubt. And the reasons for this have already been stated. HS football games are during some of the best weather of the year, it is one night a week (Friday night at that), it is the only thing going on in the community so why wouldn't people come out and watch? Even where I grew up, our football team was never good and the stands were packed every single week. Which is mind blowing to me because my high school was really bad at football and people still came out and watched the games. Football is also helped by it being on Friday nights because HS students see it as a social event and time to see friends so they come out and watch the games and chit-chat with people. But what I think we are forgetting is the size and amount of people that Texas holds. It is far and beyond that of the population of Kentucky, so with more people, they will have bigger stadiums, more athletes, more good players, etc. Making it more appealing for people to go out and watch games.
  13. I meant to put something in my post about Tanner. Everything you said is spot on. He exemplifies everything you want a player to be on and off thr court. Exceptional young man. But I did forget all about Jake O'Mara. He really will give thr Royals a boost! It will be an interesting season in the 39th for sure!!!
  14. I don't believe it will be as close as many think. Harrison clearly is the favorite, then probably Robertson County. Pendleton lost six contributing seniors last year and those six got most of the PT. A few kids got some time last year but not many, little varsity experience for the Wildcats this year. With Sexton transferring/moving and NC losing many Seniors also I can't see them competing for that second spot either. But come tourney time anything can happen!
