BB looses in a heart breaker. Stivers hits a 3 with less than 15 seconds to go in the game to give Scott the win. Stivers comes off the bench for Scott and makes three 3's.

We were within one rebound of a Cameron Haynes missed 3 of winning the game. My hat is off to Ryan Stivers, who before tonight, I didn't even know his name. It is now etched in my memory forever!

 

Playing Scott in the 37th District tournament is like a very bad joke!

 

We eeked out wins in the finals over the Eagles 57-55 and 55-54 in 2006 and 2007. E.J. Murray, another name etched in my memory hit a prayer to knock us out of the district semi-finals 46-44 in 2008. The Eagles overcame a 9 point Mustang lead to win the District championship in 2009 48-44, and tonight an unheralded reserve comes in and nails three 3-pointers including the game-winner to defeat us 53-51. What do you have to do to beat Scott in the 37th District tournament. If we had it to do over again we would have let Daniel O'Conner remain in the game with five fouls. :lol:

 

Congratulations to Coach Carr and his Eagles and good luck in the 10th Region Tournament. The Eagles are playing well now and will be a very tough out. Goldie must already be downing Alka-Seltzers.

 

I can't imagine why Scott would not want the 37th District tournament to return to the Campbell County Middle School for the next five years (as I think has been decided). They have won the last three (we have won the other two). Go Figure!!!!

 

We will regroup and take on whoever pops out of the bottle tomorrow at the 2pm 10th Region Tournament draw.

They are every year. I keep trying to tell people this. Coach Carr has his team ready for tourney time. He is going to pull that majic rabbit out of the hat soon and win the big one, just hope it is not against my Cards. Scott is a dangerous team come tourney time.
