  1. I felt like this could have been a trap game for Pendleton Co. Coming off a huge, and long win Friday night they most certainly could have had a let down and lost. A win is a win however, and I feel like this Pendleton Co team still has a lot of improving to do to reach their true potetional.
  2. A part of the differential can be found in Covington Catholic having to foul late in the first two ot's trying to extend the game out. Not all of it, but some of it. If PC hits free throws this is over the first half. This was meant to be in response to the post below.
  3. Cov Cath had to foul late in some overtimes as well which could account for some of the differential. It was a great high school game where kids from both sides stepped up and hit unbelievable shots. This game will serve both teams well later in the year.
  4. Very emotional game packed with twists and turns. Both teams hit big shot after big shot. Cov Cath hit two buzzer beaters in order to extend the game and Gabe Antrobus hit one to put it in 4th OT.
  5. Sounds like PC took care of business, and others showed they could score when Monroe is held in check. Huge game in Falmouth Friday now vs Cov Cath.
  6. Good win for the Wildcat's after a tough loss the night before.
  7. Any word on how 10th region teams faired in scrimmages?
  8. I feel this is a bit unfair. This is his first year there and there will be an adjustment period. Scrimmages are just that, scrimmages. He may have been working different lineups just to see what would happen and what worked. I was not at the game so I can't comment from a position of authority but seems it may be premature to jump on them after one scrimmage.
  9. Sharp 8th grade lost last night to Ludlow 37-30, then bounced back tonight and beat RA Jones 8th grade 63-48 I believe? Sharp 6th grade beat Ludlow last night & RA Jones tonight.
  10. Any game's (game times) going on at the Lloyd tournament for Sunday?
  11. GRC vs. Pendleton County in the opening round will be one the 10th region pays attention to for sure. Will Jay Johnson be back for Woodford County?
  12. Building a program is more than wins in losses in a lot of ways. If PC can keep him around, he will build a program. I agree in winning the district is a LONG LONG ways away.
  13. I look for the Pendleton Co (Sharp Middle School) 6th & 8th grade teams to be fun to watch. They will have a tough time with some of the larger feeder school programs in NKY but these two teams are were the talent is at for the future. 8th grade team is basically returning all their players besides one who is playing freshman. They went 17-18 last year with a mixed shedule of 10th region teams and then 9th region.
  14. I agree with that. This is a coach who does things the right way and if PC can keep him he will definitely build a program.
  15. PC coaching staff keeps them playing hard as well. Some high character kids wearing the red and black. This will all pay off at some point.
  16. Neither team benefits from this. Doesn't Highlands have Elder next?
  17. Cats Pause had them slated as 10th in the pre season. Do you think with the return of these player's that they will be more of a middle of the pack team or where they are slated now?
  18. Don't the smaller schools have the All A? So why not seed? I do not understand how the draw is fair, really. It has been debated on here for ages though.
  19. Seeding seems like the only fair way but I'm just a fan! That will be a tense draw.
  20. Armageddon on the basketball court if Pendleton and Harrison draw each other in first round of district. The draw may keep a good team out of region. Brossart is VERY underrated. They will be a force for the next few years.
  21. Have heard that Bailey Menke WILL be suiting up this season and has rejoined the team. If indeed true, what does this do for Lady Royals in the upcoming season?
  22. 49-0 at half. Covington Catholic very classy not to make it worse. Pendleton kids played hard!
  23. Word has it that former Cat's Mason O'Hara, Jon Elrod, Keaton Belcher (Key player's from the last region title winner from Pendleton Co in 05) along with a few other's from past team's have been running pick up games once a week against current players. If true sounds like a great experience, and a solid tradition from past to present being built in Falmouth.
