Cooper/Simon Kenton Predictions
I think this will be the best game in NKY on Friday, I think this will be a good, old fashioned slobberknocker! IMO SK is more balanced, SK 28- Cooper 21
- 4A #6 Scott at 2A Covington Holy Cross
-
Ryle 48 Highlands 24
I'll be the first to say it, SK beats Ryle by 20, SK is the real deal, Ryle is a pretender.

Scott 8 Simon Kenton 6 (Frosh)
Its a delicate balance, I'm not opposed to teams fielding "Froshmore" teams, but you wonder what type of coaching they are getting during the regular season. If the numbers are low it usually means that the numbers on the varsity are low, thus those kids will typically running scout team as this weeks opponent, thus not getting much Individual time to improve your technique etc.... I hate to see numbers down at so many schools

Covington Catholic 28 Cooper 8 (Frosh)
Good win for the young blue colonels

1A - Top 11 Players
Glad to hear Robinson will be back, if he is the kid I am thinking of he is a truly gifted player.

Scott 8 Simon Kenton 6 (Frosh)
Holy Cross, Newport, Holmes, Lloyd, Scott and New Cath all have sophomores on their roster, they play the "Small School" freshmen schedule. Beechwood also plays the small school schedule, but fields only freshmen and 8th graders.
-
Lloyd 12 Newport Central Catholic 8 (Frosh)
Seems like a low scoring affair for these two teams, congrats to Lloyd on the win.

Colerain (OH) 13 Cincy St. X (OH) 10 (OT)
Love the Colerain win, I'll take smashmouth football over spread any day.
-
Scott County at Elder (OH) Predictions
Don't know either team well enough, but would love to see Scott County come to Cincy and get an upset win. Elder is tough at home, so logic tells me they pull away late

1A - Top 11 Players
I will have to go with Bret Slusher from Beechwood at WR or LB, pick your poison. Ethan Stringer from Beechwood at RB now that he is rounding into football shape, and last, but not least from Beechwood, Justin Overstreet at either OL or DL, thus far he has been the glue that has held Beechwoods inexperienced line together.

Campbell County/Cooper Predictions
Cooper gets the win
-
Campbell County 48 Simon Kenton 18 (Frosh)
All I know is that I saw this years freshmen team as middle school players.....they were freaking huge! Not talking about big for 8th graders big, I'm talking big for seniors in high school.
-
Holmes at Lloyd 9/11 Predictions
Juggs by two TD's
-
Sycamore (OH) 42 Covington Catholic 7
As much as I am not a CCH fan, I think its a little premature to jump ship, outside of Ryle their schedule thus far has been murderers row. Hopefully they play well and gain some measure of confidence this week and then they get the Dixie Hwy showdown with Beechwood. I for one like their chances as the year progresses.

McCracken County vs. Mayfield Predictions
I have to go with the boys from Mayfield, they win by 14
-
Ryle 52 Boone County 7
Sad to see just how far the program has fallen, I don't know this for a fact, but I keep hearing they have athletes walking the hallways that don't want anything to do with the football program. Again, that is second hand knowledge, how do you reverse that trend?

Ryle/Highlands Predictions
I cant believe I am going to post this....Ryle beats Highlands by 10. I'm still in shock.

Dixie/Simon Kenton Predictions
SK by a Big Bunch!
-
Gallatin County/Bracken County Predictions
Should be a good one, Bracken has size, haven't seen Gallatin yet, but they always play hard. Bracken by 7
-
1A #8 Paris vs. Ludlow Predictions
My head tells me Paris by 14+, my heart is rooting for the Panthers, go Panthers, pull the upset!

Dixie Freshman Football
Pick, how long has it been since Mayfield had a freshmen team? How many freshmen do you all typically have? You guys obviously have a formula for success.
