theguru
I heard Campbell manhandled them but I didn't know the final score. Congrats young Camels. And for everyone Campbell's Frosh group is really solid.
BubbyKY
And for everyone Campbell's Frosh group is really solid. The young Camels have some good size, but the most noticeable thing is they have a lot of "athletes". Nice group of players coming up in the Camel ranks. lawildcat
Congratulations to the young Camels! That is quite a convincing win!
JBSmash
Good to see Camp Co with some nice players and a good frosh group. What are some of the other frosh teams doing. I have not seen much on frosh football yet this season. I know Ryle has a decent team again. They are 2-0 so far with wins over (not sure about week one but I thought it was against Camp Co) and Lex Cath. They take on Conner tonight. neilman1234
SK looked liked they were having trouble in all phases of the game. It's early. Let's see where they are at the end of the year. Farfsing should be their QB and they'll be better offensively. The Camels pretty much had their way with them. Not sure that means CC is THAT good, but the talent is there. neilman1234
CC does have a legit QB and a stable of WRs to go with him. This will be a pass-heavy team at the varsity level.
memyselfandi
I would say in my 13 years here at CC this is by far size wise (not number wise) of the kids this is probably the largest when it comes to both O/D line. I think the nerves got the best of them last week vs Ryle (not taking anything away from Ryle as you have to come to play every game). They will be a fun group to watch over the years. Next week they take on Highlands.
Lee42
One of the more strangest games I have seen for at least the first half. Not sure what the Simon Kenton coaches are thinking or doing. They go for it on their own 10yd line in the opening drive! Hoping the Coaches did not call that and maybe the QB took it upon himself to run? So Sk did not make it (4th and 15) and CC got the ball back with a short field and eventually scored. CC scored next on a pick 6. CC scored next on a fumbled snap/broken play as the QB did a good job picking it up and scrambling to his left and the corner and safety came up thinking he is running and throws to a wide open receiver. The last score of the half was a Hook & Ladder that was well executed for a score. SK coaches need to get there stuff together...they left their defense exposed, at least twice with a short field by going for it on 4th down deep in the own territory. They have a complete platoon, NO one goes both ways and have a complete different 11 guys also on the kickoff team, (oh, except the kicker) that do not start offense or defense and yes CC scored on a Kick return but it was called back but scored in another short field. Bottom line is SK cannot platoon and be competive, they don't have the personnel. However they could be very competitive if they have some boys go both ways. They have probably 4-5 kids that play defense that should be on offense. Positive note-the SK run defense was pretty good, i don't there was a run of more than 8 yds. Pass coverage needs work. SK offensive line needs a couple of kids from the defense.

Farsfsing would help but you need some kids from the defense line on the O line and at the very least have the Sargent kid getting touches at slot or run a 2 set backfield like the HS does with Dillion and Hampton. Makes no sense why these 2 kids are not playing offense in some capacity.

All about development and getting kids on the field and engaged at that age.

All about development and getting kids on the field and engaged at that age. Yep. Pretty sure that's how SK has been doing it for at least a couple years. They are blessed to have 3 feeder programs (2 middle Schools and an NKYFL team), and always seem to have 40+ kids at the freshman level. If you're not playing most of them, you're doing a disservice to your program. Freshman ball is about developing and keeping kids in the program. Playing guys both ways when you don't have to is doing neither.
Basement Barbers
I thought it was a given... that Farsing was going to be QB. Who got the nod?
BigDaddy6
Brennan Gangwish is the starter. He is the best all around QB on the roster but, as I'm sure you all know, a QB does not win and lose the game by himself. That was an all-around poor game by the the young Pioneers. Farfsing looked good when he came in for the 4th quarter but all of the 2's were in so you can't really judge based on that. He is a much better linebacker. They will be fine.
