  1. Congrats to the Bluebirds for achieving the big 20. Nothing short of a fine tuned machine clicking on all cylinders. To be a Senior and say you were on a State Championship squad every year through High School is absolutely phenomenol.
  2. Was not aware of the playing field until now .Its a shame because Lexington would bring the larger crowds
  3. How about Commonwealth Stadium in Lexington ? Numbers across the board would go up except for maybe the 6A crowd- JMO.
  4. I just drove by bid Red and it there is a man pacing back and forth inside. All I know, I would hate to be the one late on that mission. Go Birds 20n10 !
  5. Nice job Breds on a great season.A surprising blow out !
  6. I would say Highlands would have more in Ohio if you want to compare by enrollment.Your name says it all..........
  7. Nice Job Boyle.Good luck next week at BG
  8. Birds by 2 TD'S .Very stingy and quick defense with platoon system will decide this one
  9. Only seen a couple of these guys show their stuff.Any video clips floating around to support these names listed or others mentioned ?
  10. I am pulling for the No.Ky. team here.Trinity has the numbers but I feel that team from Union believes in themselves and that is huge in itself.Ryle seems to be getting better every week and few good things goes the Raiders way you just never know.
  11. From the outside, I see the coaching as a legitimate concern. A one-dimensional offense in this day of high school football will not win games. Some other things I would like to ask: Are the coaches involved with the feeder system? How much involved are the parents and boosters in the program? And finally, what the heck happened to the field? It was the nicest turf around back in the day -- lacking big time. Bottom line, it's a real shame and not fair to those kids who put forth that effort year round. My suggestion is to team up and make changes NOW my friend. You are truly concerned or you would not speak out here. Yake it the next level.
  12. I like Boyle on this one. Boyles next year scheduled game with that team from Fort Thomas reflects commitment and they will be ready for the a liitle backyard schooling for the Dudley squad this weekend .Boyle by three TDS.....
  13. This is not a surprising list.It should be the top 20 and I think we would have them all in our eyes on there.I would like to see a poll for the top 10 Hitters in No.ky.That would be interesting one.
  14. I apologize to the Harlan County Folks-Where did I get Corbin-Duh!!-Must be that Freshman Birds team has really gotten to my head !
  15. Regarding this main thread: stamina will be my first question, and how many players for Corbin Varsity go two ways. I have a good feeling that lack of being there and lack of numbers will be too much for the Bears. Birds by at least 2 TDS. As far as the Freshman, I feel pretty confident the Birds Frosh would at least be able to stay on the same field as the Frosh Bears. Here is a small taste of the Baby Birds, in No. Ky. Frosh Championship, I found from a prior post. 1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kcyec7l0hls::isurrender:
  16. The BG Prep polls only allows one vote per poster.
  17. Should be tough game for the Birds. If they keep the Super Star under 300,The Birds will prevail.I look for JC two way starters with their hands on the waists towards the end of third. That being said,if the Birds can match points until then.Stamina will take over.Birds by two sores.....
  18. Had to watch this return again.Alot of great things coming our way.Nice job jpa,I forgot your pat on the back last time.
  19. Don't know much about Coach Wirth but as a Bluebird fan I have regain my respect of the Colonels program this year .It would be a huge mistake if the Cov Cath Front office changed directions again.Just curious, where did he coach prior to the Colonels and how was his success back then if any?
  20. It takes 2-3 years to straighten your assistant staff out whether its recruiting or dismisal.5 years tops to produce results. But you know,I am watching a couple local school programs experience this situation after 10 year plus teniorships and its obvious that sub par is acceptable.
  21. Maybe last years SK would have a chance against this red hot Raider group.QB match up is close.Elliot decides this one.The Raiders by two scores.
  22. Cudos to the guys that make the stars roll.I saw atleast three well executed blocks on this clip. And these guys are only Freshman-Wow!!!
  23. Obviuosly your not tuned in to winning football teams and traditions. There is also a family on the field versus off .Coaches ,players, support staff, are one and the other one you are obviously familiar with. Im sorry, once again for the lackkkk offff definitionnnnn......
  24. My statement should of had more substance focusing on player control and family which was definitely not evident the two games I attended this year.Bashing no,visual lack of control of the team yes.Big games are not won when you let this atmosphere exist. To a positive note, the staff did do their homework and did a nice job the first half, stamin and I guess a lack of talent cut them short.Good job to the Dixie Senior kids who gave their best for what they had to work with.
