This is a great game and always has been. And yeah Daddy Cat you are correct the big fog horn/truck horn whatever the thing was ok but when it was going off at the wrong times thought it was uncalled for, but also with that it's a big rival game and this past weekend was no different. And the fans at times are more entertaining than the two teams playing. But best of luck to both teams throughout the rest of the season.:thumb:

Personally I think it is a lame rule. I think they should have the option to return it out if they want to.

I would have liked to see if it was a different game with Powers from the beginning. I still think North would have won but I think it might have been closer.

Didn't get to see much of Clay the other night in the scrimmage against Bell, but I did get to see Knox and they look pretty good this year. Coach Mills has another good looking bunch. I think Knox will win this one.

Drama, being a alum of Knox I hope this will help change there ways. Would be nice to see them win like they did before. If you get a pic by chance I would love to see them.

I think Coach Black will have his teams ready for the Bobcats this year. He has had two weeks to get ready for them and I think WC faithful will be ready for this showdown. I'm taking WC by 10.

I think North is going to play with Corbin for a while or so. And Bubba you are correct about Wardrup, he has got to learn how to control his emotions or he will end up costing his team. The last two weeks he has gotten two personal fouls against him and this week against South was very closed to being tossed from the game. But it wouldn't surprise me to see North win this game, but I think it is going to be tough for North to be up for the fourth game in a row, plus with the game at Corbin I am going to give the edge to the Redhounds. Corbin by 10

From what I have been told (and this is after I made my first post) W'Burg has lost a couple backs and also their leading reciever. So with that said it should make it an interesting game. Personally I am not sure how the defense of South will play. Should be good.

I think South has too many things working against them this year. It could be a long season for the Cardinal faithful. Not taking away anything from Coach Herron and the W'Burg team/coaches, they are doing a great job down there in Williamsburg and I think, not matter if South had all their starters or not, that The Jackets are taking this one easily.

Not bringing back Chris is going to hurt SL more than people will know. He is a excellent OC and not being there is going to hurt SL.

I think this might be a good game. Better than most people think, and it will be interesting to see how KCHS replaces Corey Smith and Brown and others. But I still think Coach Mills will win this one by 2 touchdowns.

One of the things I have heard is that a certain admin was going to keep his job if a certain coach was not retained. How can you look at this program and say that it is in worse shape than another certain program that is at KC. There is too many politics involved in that area.

Dr. X, I am hearing that the administration is caring only about their personal agenda. I believe in letting Elam go they have hurt that more than the kids, they have set that program back espically if the talk of kids transfering is true.

Bear Paw, I have heard the same thing. If that is true then that is pretty low of the administration in charge. Coach Elam has had to put up with a lot of distractions from parents and gets very little support from his administration. But however, the girls program at KCHS has struggled for many years and nothing has been done with that program, but that is another story of who you are in the world of politics at KC. Coach Elam I wish you the best of luck and I hope to see you on the court again. I hope that get a chance to have the final say so with the administration at KC.

Wow this has been an interesting thread. Anyone that was at the 13th Region at Bell last year can understand. The parking was not the greatest, the heat in the gym was terrible and I was in the lower part of the gym I couldn't imagine what it was like up top for fans. And everyone complaining about how they want the fans/students to have good seats well when you give out some 35-40 tickets for the students of the participating schools I don't see how they can say they cared about the students. But yet there were some 300+ reserved seating that was sold. People check to see how many other Regions are playing at bigger arenas or college arenas. To me this is a no brainer, the Region is something special and it should be played in something special. If the Arena is willing to give money back to the schools that will just make those programs better I would think. Les you are right on and Harlan I know you all have a great facility but the almighty dollar.

I'd change letting the KHSAA decide what is good and what is not good for high school football in Kentucky.

The only thing I would change like what other people in this thread have said is having the championship game on Sunday. I know people say that will never happen but I think it is crazy for the kids to play the biggest game of their life (to that point) after playing in a game hours earlier. I really wish the KHSAA would change that.

Jim I have rented Rupp Arena for an event and trust me the money that the KHSAA is making from the fans and sponsors shouldn't be a problem. Could be but I would be very surprised if it is.

Elliot County my hats off to you all. Before this tournament I had never seen you all play just would read all the papers on you all and your team. And going into the tournament I thought Holmes was going to win the whole thing, but you all have impressed me and a lot of other fans in attendance at the Sweet 16. Pat yourselves on the back players and coaches, what you almost did was a true "David and Goliath" story, but none the less you all should not be upset and you should hold your heads up high. Good job and good luck to both teams in the finals tonight.
