Some people said the same thing about the Dixie game in the second round. Congrats to Highlands truely a great program.

Although I think Dale is a great coach, do you really think you can compare the talent that Highlands has with the talent Dixie has? Highlands might have a smaller enrollment but young men go to that school to play football and you can not compare the size of the schools in my opinion. Maybe look at the percentage of kids that play football. Year in and year out Highlands has the most talent in NKY. If you doubt that then just look at how many kids each school can play. Dale said in the paper he plays 16-17 guys on defense and 15 guys on offense. No one has to go both ways. Dixie has no where near the talent to do that. Dixie had at least 6 or 7 guys that have to go both ways. Why becuase they do not have the "TALENT" to play the other kids. It has nothing to do with the facilities. No one is happy with being .500 but complaining about the couch is too easy of an out.

Too many mistakes at critical times for Dixie all season is the reason the team is 6-6. Yes the talent "might" be there to be better than 6-6 but on the field they performed as a 6-6 team. Dixie played hard tonight but just came up short and got beat by a deeper more talented team.

Game was actually 10-7 Boone up at half before Dixie decided to start playing. Pike played the entire game at QB.

On thing I did notice tonight is Pike did not play defense until the second half and then he was in there when someone went down for Dixie or when they needed a big pass rush. Good to see that maybe other kids are stepping up on the defensive side of the ball and that they can rest Pike. Very good game I think Dixie was just too big and too strong down the stretch and they did not get worn down in the second half.

If I remember correctly Holmes came in to Dixie last year undefeated but did not leave that way. Dixie wins by two scores.

Zumdick and Handlon as well

Dixie can name their score in this one. It all depends on when the subs come in the game. The only chance Scott has is if Dixie is looking towards the Highlands game.

Just asked Dixie how easy Chad is to stop, seemed like all night Dixie had him on the run and was within a step of getting to him and he would get away and turn it in to a nice gain either running or throwing.

Until Kenton County drops open enrollment, Scott football will be in trouble. BTW, the new field looks wonderful.

Wow, I did not realize the coaches threw 3 interceptions and fumbled the ball. Maybe that was more of the reason they lost than coaching.

Dixie beat NCC 16-8

What channel is TBNK?

I was told that ICN6 or Insight in general was not broadcasting any high school footbal games, does anyone know if that is true or not?

I bet the average will be higher but they do not have one kid as big as Wes. Looks like a couple of the kids have bulked up. I do not know for sure what they weigh but if I had to guess! Johnson 6-3 240 Handlon 6-1 250 Withrow 6-1 265 Brosmore 6-1 210 Zumdick 6-0 210

Not a lot of experience on Dixie's o-line. They return 3 kids that saw some time last year. Ian Johnson started last year Jarod Brossmore started a few games last year Blake Withrow started the last few games if I do recall correctly. Looks like they will start a couple seniors and the rest will be juniors. Not really sure who the kids will be that start but probably a mix of: Ian Johnson (will be a sr) Blake Withrow (jr) Jarod Brossmore (sr) DJ Handlon (jr) Ryan Zumdick (maybe?) (sr) We will see how they come together as Dixie lost a lot of kids on the line last year.

If I am not mistaken all of the Indians runs were unearned as well. 2 on a throwing error and 2 on a misplayed ball in right field.

Not sure what game I was watching but it was a High School game and the quarterback was being chased by several defensive players and was a good 25 yards behind the line. Right before he got sacked he just threw the ball away. Intentional grounding and a loss of down but it was 5 yard loss from the line of scrimmage thus by not taking the sack he gained at least 20 yards.

The line could be a big question for Dixie next season. They have a couple of sophomores, and maybe 3 juniors that saw some time last year at the varsity level but unfortunately for Dixie this could be an area where they have to have some kids going both ways, unless some of the younger guys step up. Pike will be the QB and I think has the potential to be an outstanding QB.

Word around Dixie is that Corbin DeMatteo is going to play football for his senior year. Did he not play QB as a sophomore? I think Pike will be the QB but this just could put another name in the list and if Pike is the QB who is his back up?

Is the game still on as both schools were out today.
