Gary's son Seth actually is a Freshman on the Dixie team but is injured at this time.

There was no disrespect from the Dixie fans while the kid was down. If there was any cheering going on it was to show respect to the player that was down or maybe to keep Dixie players up as this was a long delay and Dixie had the momentum on their side. I think all the fans on this board need to realize that yes any win against Highlands is a huge win for Dixie at any level. Highlands is the program that all schools in this area inspire to be and the attitude of some of the post on this board seems to be a little sour grapes. As I said earlier the half back pass although was a little much, Highlands was sending the house at the end of the game and both teams still had their starters in the game. Highlands is not use to losing so I guess they just do not know how to do it gracefully. Lets congratulate the Dixie kids on a great win and stop the back and forth that is getting a little out of hand.

OK I agree the half back pass might have been a little much but it was not an onside kick. It was a squib(sp) kick to keep it away from the kid you just returned one for a touchdown. Dixie played outstanding on both sides of the ball and deserved to win this game. Congrats to Dixie it was a big win on the "FRESHMAN" level.

It is my understanding that they just take the top two teams in each division to play in a one game playoff.

Zeke is around 6' 3" so not as tall as his dad as of yet but probalbly not done growing. I think this game will be low scoring as I see Dixie defense holding True and the Highlands offense in check. If Dixie does not turn the ball over (which they have done) they could jump up and surprise Highlands and all the Highlands supporters on this board.

Very good game played by two evenly matched teams. The one "clip" or block in the back play that had most the Dixie parents up in arms, the corner had clearly gotten inside of the WR and seemed to be blocked in the back. Not that the play had a huge bearing on the outcome of the game but the Dixie sidelines were up in arms on that play. Congrats to both teams as after the first drive of the game for Dixie who drove the ball straight down the field, Cov Cath made some adjustments on defense and Dixie had trouble moving the ball after that point. I thought both defenses played well and both teams seemed to have players that we all will be hearing about in the future.
