Anyone know how many years it has been since Hatton played football?

How many college recruiters were there, look to be at least 10.

I did think of another one, #19 did start varsity on Friday so that would have been 3 but I am not sure they had enough defensive backs to field a team without him and he was a JV starter for most of the season. Also he is a sophomore.

Really, is this the way you want to go. Pike is a starter but not a QB and #50 has started but did not on Friday. If you look at the kids that played for Dixie most were sophomores, so yes the game that counted was Friday night but lets not whine about playing varsity players and just accept that Dixes "JV" team won the game. Are you telling me no kids that played yesterday played any varsity on Friday night?

3 very good games. Tibbs was the difference in game 3. She seemed to come up with a play everytime Scott needed one.

AGREED! You never know what players will play from week to week and if kids are that good they are not playing at the JV level anyway. Who has HHS played in JV? Dixie has played: Conner, Beechwood, SK, Conner (yes for the second time) and Ryle Most games have been fairly close score wise anyway, although a few games seemed well in hand.

Yes they had a very close game with Beechwood which ended 38-35. Pike scrambled around and tossed a ball from one side of the field to the other in the corner of the end zone. Beechwood then came back and drove down the field and came up just short on a pass in the end zone as time expired. Hopefully the two teams will play again this Saturday as I expect the same type of game. I did read where Beechwood canceled thier JV game last week.

I know Dixie and Lloyd still have not played their round 3 game. Hopefully they can get it in today, Friday.

Anyone know the schedules for this weeks freshman tournament?

I would not count out Dixie just yet, as it depends which team shows up. The team that run ruled St. Henry and battled Campbell and came up just short or the team that was run ruled by St. Henry and Cov Cath this week. It would not shock me if they lost in the first round or if they ended up coming out of the lower bracket. Not an easy team to watch game to game. :confused:

Dixie's JV team makes way to many mistakes. 6 errors in the Boone lose and 3 in the Campbell lose. Not sure they are ready to be called a top 3 team just yet. That being said it would be nice to play more than 7 games. They have played 7 games with 11 rainouts and it is looking like they will add to the rainout total this week.

Guys, come on the kid is one grade behind where he should be. If you search the roster of every team in NKY you will find that all schools have kids that are playing one grade behind where they are suppose to be. It is really not that big of a deal, is it????

I am almost sure Tyler played with these guys.

I am not sure Pike will play baseball. There are 6 kids from the Kids team at Dixie that was coached by Rich Maile: Garrett Hatton (7th grader, but will play up) Cohorn Handlon McKinney Stansberry 2 or 3 of those kids could play some JV ball next season I would think.

Of course Pike is not going anywhere or at least I do not think so. The kids at Dixie are saying the Bruns brothers will be at Highlands after Christmas.

Watch Corey Garrett as a freshman this year. All around good player with a "ton" of power and can play multiple positions on defense. It will be interesting to see how he does at the High School level. Someone spoke of Ben Maile earlier and I think they were on the same summer team if anyone saw Ben play then they must have seen this kid as well.

What are the rules for attending Highlands High School? There is a rumor that two kids are going to be leaving Dixie and going to Highlands but I thought they had to have a residence in that area to attend school there.

"Coach Klette does an outstanding job at Scott" I know about a dozen parents that would not agree with that statement!

I can only speak of the freshman class and for football but they only have 2 kids that should be at Scott, (Pike being one of them) and 3 or 4 that should be at SK and one Campbell County kid. Of the feeder programs most of the kids the played freshman football came from the middle schools (Turkeyfoot and Summit). A small mix of the NKYFL kids but less than 10. As far as SK goes I know the freshman team had a couple of talented kids but that was about it. Not a strong team at the freshman level but that could change in the next few years.

The game was not played due to some injuries on the JV side. Very good season for the young Colonels. It would have been great to see a Dixie v Beechwood match up they did not get it done in a couple games and Highlands did. There seems to be some very good talent in the freshman class at all the schools and should be fun to watch over the next few years. Congrats to all the Northern Kentucky teams.

Records aside I think you can take the top 4 teams in this division and on any given day....... Highlands, Campbell, Dixie and Cov Cath played each other close in all the game they had. Cov Cath had all 3 teams down late only to lose in the 4th quarter. I really think a normal playoff system in this division would have given us some great games. All 4 teams have some good talent and should be fun to watch over the next 3 years. Good luck to all teams in the up coming week.

Dixie's Frosh should handle SK but I know after the Campbell loss there were quite a few kids that were ready to sell off the season with no chance to make it to the finals. It will be up to the coaches to get them focused and ready to go.

I have not seen CC play but from what I have heard Dixie's line both on offense and defense will and can match up with just about anyone. CC OLine will be put to the test. It should be a good match but I give Dixie the edge as I think they have more talent then teams give them credit for. Pike is a very good player but he does has more help then you think. You can not look at the Holmes games and take anything from it. Dixie had 5 turnovers 3 of which Holmes scored on and the other 2 they got inside the 10 yard line. Plus that was the first game of the seaons and Dixie had a couple of injured players that are now playing. Good luck to both teams.
