SK never gave up in this one but it sounds like they are still suffering from the same problem from last weeks game, dumb penalty's and offensive line play. Glad to see the win but SK still has alot of work to do.

Congrats to SK on the hard-fought win.

Nice comeback for the Pioneers. Lawrence is one of the most elusive qb's I've seen.

Make no mistake about it, they miss Miles and last year's O line big time.

Can anybody give us info on how Dixie played?

From reading the posts in the other Dixie/SK thread that's closed, it looks like The Red Colonels defense didn't get the job done in the second half. Once AGAIN, you must be able to play FOUR quarters.

Turnovers and penaltys. At the end of the first half Dixe had a two TD lead with the ball and less that a minute. They threw a pick and SK was able to score before the half. The last game winning drive Dixie had SK stop. Then a late hit for 15 yards and a first down. SK goes on for the win.

The play of the game in my mind was with 20 seconds to go in the half. Dixie in control up 21-8....1st down around midfield and they call "the pass play" where Pike throws it to the defender... who graciously runs the ball down to the Dixie 10. Sk then tosses one in the end zone (TD) with less than 10 seconds to go. The Dixie defender looked confused as to why they would throw in the end zone...mind boggling.

Maybe when he's playing Madden11 the other team neer plays that aggressively......

Sounds like SK is lucky they have some time before they have to face Ryle. Seems like they're going to need it.

I hate to say it but I don't see how SK cam improve that much before they play against Ryle. Last two years were SK's, this year looks to be Ryles.

If I remember correctly Pike had 2 rushing TD's and 2 passing TD's (one of which was just poor tackling by SK and Leonard ran down the sideline 50-60 yds). The passing was warm and cold. Cohorn had some really clutch 3rd down catches. I believe both passing TD's were to Leonard.

Pike was impressive rushing the ball. SK had very little success stopping him. Bruns was a non-factor tonight....just didn't get the carries.

Congrats to SK for fighting the whole four quarters, the momentum seemed to change a bit when Dixie attempted the fake punt from midfield. SK played much better in the 2nd half. The first half was full of dropped passes, turnovers and penalties. The TD prior to the half ended up being large for the Neers. Still not many yards gained by SK between the tackles but Lawrence did a pretty good number on the Colonels defense on the perimeter. The last drive was very interesting, I can't remember ever winning a game by kicking a field goal. Dixie's defense held strong on two goal line possessions, stopping SK on 4th and one in the first half then once again keeping us out of the end zone during the last drive (I believe Sage's run was a TD). No doubt about it tonight, Lawrence was the best player on the field.

SK's O-line did fine! SK dropped alot of passes but the best QB in KY showed his stuff and took the game over Lawrence is the man!

That penalty call was HUGE!.... All I heard was unsportsmanlike conduct. The timing was interesting to say the least in a tie game and 2 minutes to go.
