Sk beat Dixie. Dixie beat Beechwood. Beechwood scored 24 on Highlands. Ryle only scored 14 on Highlands noway is Ryle is that much better than SK. I think NCC will beat Ryle! Dixie always plays SK tough.

^ Comparing scores means very little. With that being said, I will look forward to the NCC/Ryle and DH/Ryle matchups.

The SK line is not very good at all right now. Luckily for them Lawrence got on track after a bad 1st Q and was able to compensate in the face of a 4 man rush living in the backfield.It was easy to see how Middletown ripped them to shreds when an average Dixie front was able to get so much pressure.

 

I know this won't be a popular opinion, but I think Pike's future is on the defensive side of the ball. Obviously that is not where Dixie is going to need him the most over this and next season, but from what I have seen of him that is what jumps out at me. He would be nasty at DE IMO...

Congrats SK...a much needed win, as things would have imploded had they lost this one.

SK as team had 409 of total offense 278 passing and 131 rushing, Chad Lawerence had 275 passing and 112 rushing.

Chad put his team on his back and got the win.

I didn't know it was Pike that blocked the PAT. I have never seen that before, he completely jumped over the OLine to make the block.

Dixie has 2 timeouts left but chooses to let SK run the clock down to somewhere in the teens for the field goal attempt. Am I missing something or why was no timeout called?

Interesting "no call" by the coach. You'd think he'd atleast want to give Zeke and the offense some time to work with.

SK's O-line did fine! SK dropped alot of passes but the best QB in KY showed his stuff and took the game over Lawrence is the man!

 

Simon Kentons O line was awful man. They had zero push on the run and Chad was running around like a chicken with his head cut off because he had no time.

It's a dumb call by Spritzky, he thought SK wouldn't kick a field goal or wouldn't make it, one because Dixie had already blocked a PAT, and two because he thought SK's place kicker wasn't good enough, and finally because I don't belive he THOUGHT Marksberry would actually kick the field goal in that situation when SK got down close. Unofrtunately for Dixie Spritzky did too much "thinking" and not enough thinking atleast that's how I see it. We all make mistakes, and I'm sure in the heat of the moment all he was thinking about was getting a stop and taking that game into over time. Atleast that's how it seemed.......

Especially when you have kids on the sidelines with size and skill.

 

Chad Lawrence is a gamer is all I can say. The one sequence that really stood out to me was late in the game he scrambled for like an 8 yard game and took a double shot to the kidneys. He tries to tap himself out as he's clearly in pain, and the next play he rushes for a huge gain.
