  1. Just got home and what a game!!! All the kids played awesome but a huge game by the offensive and defensive lines led by Taylor Centers and Dustin Mitchell. They were in the backfield causing Timmons and gang to make their first cuts deep in the backfield. Timmons has special talent but other than the one long run he didn't hurt the Jag's defense too much. Morris and Collins had great games as usual and a huge interception in the end zone before the half by Morris. The Jag's defense held FC to 7 points in the second half. Unreal!! The prediction thread asked if Cooper could score 50 or 60.... well 28 is all they needed but 40 wasn't bad and 7 points for FC came when the Jag's wide receiver fumbled on their own 15 yard line giving a very short field for FC to score. The Jag's fans filled their side and the endzone so great support. Good luck next week!!
  2. I don't think Cooper is having regular student buses. I am pretty confident that Cooper fans will have a strong showing though. Should be a great weather night for what should be a very good game.
  3. If 4,000 show up, then how is parking, etc.. I've never been to FC. THX
  4. Was that the year the Blackhawks beat them in the Superbowl? ... Just joking, don't mean to bring up old wounds. AJ was a handful back then as well.
  5. He takes after his mother on being polite and a nice young man. I've known AJ for several years and have taken him on out-of-town baseball trips and you can't ask for a nicer young man. He has run the ball even harder once the playoff's kicked in and is on a true mission to make sure he leaves nothing on the field in case it is his last game. Whatever happens from here on out, he should be proud of the way he has handled himself on and off the field. By the way, his dad is ok too.
  6. I'm not sure as I have never seen FC play, however they did put up 48 and 49 the last two weeks so it's possible. IMO, if what everyone says about FC's offense and elite players is true, the only way I see Cooper winning is ball control with a mixture of run and short passes which they are very good at and zero turnovers or at least have less turnovers than FC. Should be a great game and I'm looking forward to seeing FC's team live!!
  7. I guess I didn't word it like I wanted to. If you go back to my thoughts after the game I said it looked like the Cooper D-Line was on ice skates. The Conner O-Line did a great job which caused them to look that way. I guess execution would be better to say. Have you ever heard the saying "they were flying to the ball", etc.. That's kind of what I meant in that game Cooper wasn't "flying" to the ball. They didn't bring the same emotion to the game that Conner did. That was the only time this year I saw them in that mode and that's why I wanted them to face Conner again to see how they would perform. Remember, while it doesn't mean squat, I think Cooper "won" the second half but they were in too deep of a hole. I think the rematch, if Conner could have gotten there, may have been different. I do not think Cooper has any blazing speed that is different than other NKY teams but they are not slow at any level either. P.S... I meant "aberation" in my original post... not sure why I put "admiration".
  8. Clyde, if you base anything from Cooper off the Conner game then you will be mistaken how good they are. The Conner game was the only game this year where I didn't recognize Cooper's defense. A complete admiration. They may not be any faster then anyone else and they may lose by 35 against FC but the Conner game was a fluke by their defense. They just didn't show up for whatever reason. They have played some very good offenses and this one game they didn't have it.
  9. You were very nervous last week as well. You are not playing so relax and enjoy and whatever the outcome, it's been a record setting year.
  10. I'm missed the first match-up with these two so I'm looking forward to seeing this game. I know the Cooper kids are focused for this one.
  11. If this is true, I find it hard pressed to pull this off again since FC will be expecting it this time. I have never seen a game where 11 turnovers occurred (counting on-side kicks). Very interesting game for sure. I haven't seen FC but I believe revenge factor, home field, etc.. I give FC an edge. I saw first hand what revenge factor does to kids on a home field in a big game when Conner whipped Cooper. I'm really hoping for a Conner vs Cooper rematch though (IF Cooper can squeak out a win).
  12. It is amazing enough to score 84... If Fogle played it would be hard to score any more but he may have had 6 TD's that others had when he was out. I wish I could be at this game. Good luck to the Cougars and I hope Cooper can pull out a win as well and set up a classic rematch.
  13. Congrats to Lou!!! I look forward to watching your Senior year. I think there will be several Cooper Senior's this year in multiple sports who will be playing at the next level.
  14. Bricking 73 yard run for TD. Cooper 41-0 end of third. I'm sure reserves are going in by now.. update as I type. AJ fumble recovery return to the one. Bricking 1 yard run for TD.. 48-0..
  15. AJ 20 yard run for TD. Cooper 28-0. It's AJ's birthday and he has run for 3 TD's and thrown for another... update... AJ 40 yard interception return.. Cooper 35-0. What a night for AJ Collins!! Great young man. Part of all 5 TD's..
  16. Heard AJ Collins threw a 70 yard td to Morgan, Cooper 21-0.
  17. received a text. At end of first quarter Cooper 14 to 0. AJ Collins 2 TD's.
  18. They seem to be getting better, but you can always make your schedule where you can be .500.
  19. I was at the Cooper/Dixie game and someone said it was 7-0 ryle after the first. I said it may end up 51-7 by the end. I was close.
  20. Nice win by the Jag's. A crappy night to watch in though. I believe Caple went out injured with an ankle. I hope he gets better quick as he is a nice young man and plays hard. Cooper moved the ball well. They had two nice TD catches by #24 and a dropped TD by #12. The Jag CB fell down letting Dixie complete a long pass but other than that the Jag's defense played well again.
  21. Nice win by the Cougars! What a crappy night to be out watching football.
  22. I'm not sure who the best player is but the Durham has meant more to his team than anyone. CC would be not where close to where they are without him. A lot of good choices this year.
  23. He really stepped up the last 2-3 weeks of the season and I hear his summer was even better so I'm looking for big things out of Louis this year. Stay healthy big fella!!
