Conner @ Holmes
Holmes 72-51.

Simon Kenton @ CovCath - Predictions
SK is tough and physical, as Cooper is, so if Fredrick is out I will go with SK in a close one.

Junior College Baseball?
There are some JUCO players every bit as good as D1 players. If players are good enough and want to improve their draft position, they may go JUCO so they can get drafted the next year. Nick Markakis is just one example. I believe the Red's drafted him out of high school and then after his first year of JUCO and still didn't want to pay enough so he went back for his second year and was drafted by Baltimore. He has been their starting right fielder. Many more examples out there.

Conner's Cameron Fogle Chooses
Congrats Cam!! Good luck to you.

Newport 48 Cooper 45
Just one of those games. They are still a major player in the 9th. They just had a setback to where they played to the level of their competition as they did earlier in the year. When the chips are down, they will be fine.

Cam Fogle Recruiting Update
How many PWO's normally see the field? I really have no idea. Is it rare or does there always seem to be a couple each year that work out at that level?

Yes, no issues with the ankle.

Junior College Baseball?
As far as going to the MLB draft, D1 is a 3 year commitment. You can get drafted after each JUCO year but if you decide to go D1, then you stay 3 years before you can be in the MLB draft. As far as the college coaches send e-mails for their camps. That is their big money maker and they will send them to anyone they can get an e-mail address for so don't get too caught up with your son getting an invite. I've always been told, unless your son wants to go to THAT school, then skip the college camps unless they can prove they will have several other colleges there to participate.

Newport 48 Cooper 45
Cooper played with little emotion to match the crowds emotion. They missed 15 FT's. Missed several layups and wide open 3's. McNeil in a little slump, as all players will go through. After a rough, physical game at Boone last night, the Jag's just looked flat for the most part. Newport played hard and hit several 3's. The officials did a nice job in this game, IMO.

Cooper 51 Boone County 45
Hard fought game. This game is now in first place or the worst officiated game of the year, IMO!!

Scout.com ranks Drew Barker #5 QB
We had a summer baseball tourney last year and stayed at the hotel next to Vandy's campus. We walked around the school and it is very nice. A Vandy degree would be very nice as well.

Corey Fussinger (Cooper) #12 class of 2014
Tyler Morris should borrow this film as well. He looked good as well in this tape.

Cooper 65 Covington Catholic 49
I was posting as TOG was putting up stats. Ruthsatz was 4 for 15. Just an off night, I'm sure, and great defense against him.

Great effort by the Jag's. AJ has been hot lately and the kid is just a fierce competitor in every sport. Big Lou is slowly getting healthy. Shelton played a very good game as well. Cov Cath moves the ball well on offense and it took a quarter for Cooper to figure out their defensive plan and made it really difficult for Cov Cath to score afterwards. Ruthsatz was very frustrated and had to shoot a low percentage. He has a nice handle and loves to back tip on defense. Cooper is deep and they all play their roles well. A good turnout for Cooper. I'm glad their "mommies" let them travel to Covington.

Cooper at Covington Catholic
I have been looking forward to this game. I have not seen CCH this year so I don't know what to expect. Judging by scores of games, it should be a good one. I look forward to seeing Ruthatz (SP?) for the first time and I look forward to Morgan guarding him to see how that plays out.

33rd District
Cooper only loses two starters and has all of their pitching back and have AJ Collins and Jared Blank starting their 5th and final year of Varsity. The 33rd will be a toss up.

Per scoreboard. Does this loss lock Conner into #4 seed?

Cooper 60 Ryle 24
It was actually a running clock one minute into the 3rd once they reached 35 point lead. The announcer made mention between 3rd and 4th quarter because Ryle students kept yelling to stop the clock during the 3rd. I can understand them not knowing the rule but not sure why they didn't want the clock to run in the first place as it was a complete beat down. I remember watching games the first couple of years of Cooper sports and seeing the beat downs by several teams and I said then that one day the tables will turn. I can honestly say the game wasn't as close as the final score, wow!! JV played a lot of minutes for Cooper as well.

Cooper 59 Conner 48
Even when the two QB's were next to each other. Both strong for their size. Of course it got a chuckle from the Cooper side when Tyler blocked Drew's shot. Two good athletes.

I always wanted to be a detective and wish at times I would have went that way. I know a whole bunch of people on here and some don't think I know who they are!!

Scout.com ranks Drew Barker #5 QB
Good point. They can see the zip on shorter throws. He looked much stronger in the basketball game last night so he is putting the work in.

Scout.com ranks Drew Barker #5 QB
Just curious, where is he throwing? Does he get out of class to visit all of these coaches when they show up or how does that work. Seems to be too cold outside to throw and the gym is not big enough to show the arm strength. Good luck to him and hope he makes the right choice, wherever that may be.
