  1. I'm not shocked he was suspended because that is the world we live in today where you can't say anything controversial. I wish the entire family would back Phil and boycott until his return. The family made millions before the show and should stick by their belief and family member. The most amazing thing as I have read these four pages is that I agree with Hellbird and I'm having a hard time coming to grips with that. :lol2:
  2. Without making it out to see the Jag's yet, I'm surprised Hathorn hasn't been doing much on the offensive side so far this year. I haven't seen a box score yet where he had a lot of points. I thought he would be a beast this year even if his points were just putbacks off rebounds. He's a good kid and I'm sure the team will gell before the season is over. A lot of talent in a lot of sports graduated last year so it just takes time to come together.
  3. The Bengals are home where they are 6-0 and have scored 40 points each the last three home games. They will win both games and Baltimore will lose both and the Bengals will win the division by three games. Mark it down and I will eat crow with ketchup if I'm wrong. So many "fans" overreact over a loss that was, as bad as they looked, really only two special teams play. Their worst loss all year was by 11 points. Two of their 5 losses on the road went to overtime. I just jope they can find a punter that's at least half way decent and someone to be a competent holder on FG's and extra points.
  4. I think they said Randle is the only player in the nation averaging 17pts and 12 rebounds. Not sure what else you could expect. Clearly he didn't play his best today but for the season is doing very good. The cats are just young and immature. The Christmas break will help big time, imo.
  5. Boise State hasn't played anyone yet close to the caliper of even the young and raw UK squad. I say UK wins by 15 as the cats will be very angry over the loss in Texas. I got this one right on the money in the prediction thread. Still much to improve on. Interesting to see how they play at UNC. Most time young teams play to the level of their opponent so I expect a good game.
  6. Big key, the guys were open in this game. Yes, he has missed some open guys from time to time but most of the time people talk about "bad Andy" it's because those around him didn't block or the receivers cut routes short or there were no separation. Not all Andy's fault when offense struggles. Also, much better game plan by Gruden. He finally started using the middle of the field again instead of all sideline passes.
  7. I get tired of always reading "it depends on Andy". Of course it does, the same as with every team. It depends on the QB on every team. Andy will be taking this franchise to the playoffs for the 3rd straight year. Something that has NEVER been done. Yes, he is still young and is not perfect but he is getting WINS. I hope he gets hot at the right time and I hope those around him play their best at the same time!!
  8. I said it and at the time I believed they were without a doubt. They took a step back but will be fine. They took a step back, imo, because Poythress has disappeared again. He is such a disappointment as I think he should be an absolute stud with his size and skill set. He just doesn't have it between the ears. This was a great learning game for UK as Baylor was really the first team to match their size and Baylor's experienced big men took it to them. They will learn and be just fine when it counts.
  9. Congrats to Collins. The boys will have a memory for a lifetime they will never forget. Congrats to HHS on an incredible run, and they will be back. I thought, as a whole, that NKY football was very down as compared to most years. When HHS was giving up huge points and yards in some games this year, then I thought this might be the year they lose. But, I honestly figured they would still win by 7-10 points even if they were weaker than normal. It's just hard to beat them. I know it's always a debate that HHS fans say is a strength of theirs, but, with HHS defense being weaker than usual, do you think they had players on offense that could of played defense as well to help them improve their defense? I don't know their players that well but I would think 3-4 stud offensive players would be better than the 3-4 bottom defenders. Just a down year for NKY football!!
  10. I think this team is way ahead of Cal's other teams at this point in the season. They will be scary good by February, IMO.
  11. Cal said this would be a good zone team but you can't teach everything in the first month. Maybe by seasons end they will play more zone.
  12. Hello.... Poythress??? Where are you? Cal has a hard time keeping him interested. He has all the tools to be a stud but is content to let others do their thing. He is too good to have zero points in 15 minutes. Oh well, watch from the bench until we really need you and then hope you show up.
  13. I watched a six point Tuesday make a ground scrape 15 yards from my stand along the edge of the woods and four does were in the field with him and they went to his scrape but they all just wandered around like it was Summer time. I had another on a slight chase last Saturday but not much else. I'm hoping the full rut is close. I will be out every evening and in the mornings as well this weekend.
  14. I field dress mine wherever they drop. I saw my first coyote while hunting Saturday morning but couldn't get a shot off. I've been in the woods alot for the last 35 years and can't believe I don't see coyotes more often. I have seen a few cross my yard while I'm sitting on my couch but never while in the woods until Saturday. I can field dress one easily under 5 minutes but I take my time skinning and cutting up the meat so not sure how quick I could do it if I was trying to be fast and probably will never find out.
  15. When those around him play good, then the QB plays good. Heck, even Luck sucked Sunday since he lost 38-8 at home to a team under .500 and he threw 3 picks. Of course no one will say he sucks. Bottom line is if the O-line on any team gives the QB time and the WR's do their part by getting separation then the QB will play good if they are worth anything at all. I think Dalton can do the job when those around him do their job. He did suck Sunday but it happens to even the best.
  16. Congrats to the Cooper boys who finished third and they have, I believe, their top seven returning. Congrats to the other NKY schools as well.
  17. Offensive line sucked. Wide Receivers didn't get separation. Gruden play calling on 4th down sucked. Bengals DB's need to learn to turn and find the ball and at least knock it down. Andy sucked. That about sums it up.
  18. Luke is catching right now on MLB Network in the Arizona Fall League.
  19. This was Greens comment after the game. On the interception: “I should’ve came … that was my fault. Should’ve came back a little harder down the ball, trying to stay long and then get out of bounds. So I was just trying to shoot him off, I should’ve came back to the ball, that’s my fault.” I understand players will normally take the responsibility but it didn't look like an "out" to me as he started to come back to it a little but not agressive enough, imo..
  20. I have no problem with them passing on the 3rd down play but you don't lob a deep ball that has a lower percentage chance of being completed. You either run so Miami uses their last time out or you throw a high percentage pass to get the first down (4-5 yards would do it). Dalton, IMO, did not play near as bad as people will bash him for in this game. Way too many drops, a bad call or stupid hold on Gresham that negated the Jones TD (which the pick 6 came right after that call), and the offensive line playing a poor game after being stellar the last few games. The first Dalton INT was part his fault and part AJ's for not coming back to the ball. The second was all Dalton for throwing behind receiver that ended up in pick six. The third was a perfect throw in coverage that Sanu doesn't catch. The fumble can be contributed to the O-Line as much as Dalton. He didn't play great but surely not all that bad. This is type of game that gets you a 3 or 4 seed versus a 1 or 2 seed and a bye the first round. Just can't give games away.
  21. He pitches 200 inning's every year and his "stuff" doesn't drop as much with age as a fireballer. He will definately get more than $10 million a year. Heck, the Yankee's would give him $15 mil just to eat inning's as a #5 starter. The Red's have to offer the 1 year at $14 mil to ensure they get the draft pick.
  22. Walt made these comments when Cunningham was interviewing him on the radio yesterday. Willy asked some straight forward questions without beating around the bush, and to Walt's credit, he answered most honestly. He had to side step some stuff (coaching changes) which he has to do until they make the decisions. I was shocked when he was honest about Votto and having to change his approach or move in the order. Love it!! He also, when asked about BP attack on the Boss and C Trent, that BP was wrong and they let him know he was wrong and handled it in-house.
  23. Go back and read paragraph three. I don't care who the teammates are, the team won and he was the QB. It's a team game and he "manages" the games good enough to win more often than not. He needs to keep getting better but he is better than most of you think. Every team that wins, it's not just the QB, it's the team. I put just as much blame on the OC as I do Dalton. Gruden is learning a lot as he goes along as well. Gruden and Dalton came in together as rookie's and they both are still learning.
