Game tonight at 5 @ Florence Freedom Stadium. What are your thoughts? Should be a good one IMO

Conner didn't play with any heart and didn't even act like they wanted to be there.

Tyler Brake from Conner. One of the most efficient hitters I've seen and not a bad fielder by any means.

If a pitcher can't hit their spots it doesn't matter how hard or nasty the pitch may be. I'd say control is just as important if not more then velocity, etc.

Still too early too tell IMO...

Unfortunately I can only base it on the Conner game, however I did get to see Niehaus, and Sainola and neither looked to great IMO. Maybe they both just had rough outings, I'm not sure.

I'll take Beechwood in this one. None of Cov Cath's "front line" pitchers are too much for Beechwoods bats. As long as Elliot keeps the cov cath hitters down Beechwood wins.

I know Conner has selected Ryan Dillon, James Champ, Alex Brann, and Andy Pirrucello to represent them this year. Kind of suprised that Chase Bentley was selected to represent Conner being a 3 year starter @ linebacker.

I can't say much since I've only seen Lex. Cath. thus far, but they are much much different then last years ball club. And if this is any indication of what the rest of Lex. is like this year, then you could prob go as far as saying it is a down year. Or maybe the rest of the state just better then previous years? :sssh:

Tough loss for the Cougars. They hit the ball well but couldn't manage to score when Lex. Cath. brought their stud in to close it out. Junior Will Shuttleworth did a fine job on the mound holding the Knights to 2 runs through the fourth. Unfortunately with two outs in the 5th, the Knights rallied for 6 runs to seal the deal. And although I wouldn't quite say the umps lost the game, they did make two awful calls that kept the 6 run inning alive for the Knights.

Indeed it is, but this team is quite different from last years. And they have had a tough schedule to start the season.

Trevor Stellman will be fighting to regain his starting spot after his torn ACL last season. He is obviously the best candidate for the job though, so I doubt many other qb's will see the field much.

If they can only put two on Villa, I would say struggling is an understatement...

Right, but if the 1-2 hitters don't get on with Maile in the 3 hole, it's still the same story, but with 2 outs. I still stay good look by Krumps, but I doubt it will last too much longer.

If Scott is ranked 2nd in the 10th, it will be a sad, sad year for this region. How many teams are in the 10th region?

But considering that Isler and Darner can hit those same shots, it would be nice to have atleast one runner on nearly everytime they are up.

Like you said earlier, there is only one real lead off at bat per game then it is random odds, which means there could very well be runners on base. Chances are he won't hit to many lead off bombs to start a game.
