  1. Cov Cath will have an easy stroll to the regional crown this year...
  2. Some families are willing to move to stay in district, personally I wouldn't but some are. What are the chances of a NDA Conner rematch in the 9th region championship?
  3. I have a feeling that starting players at those highschools will do alot not to get re-districted and have to leave their team, but with that said I am curious to see Cooper will match up with their district.
  4. Who will be the better teams in the 9th region this up and coming season?
  5. Like I said in a previous thread, I'll pick the upset, Holy Cross wins 5-3....
  6. Dixie Lloyd Championship game. Nichols will shut out Lloyd and Dixie will win the 34th.
  7. That would be sophomore Jody Hubbard. He has done well for the cougars so far this year, but left a few too many fast balls at the belt. I believe he also gave up 7 runs, not sure how many of those were earned.
  8. I'm not positive how many, but I've been told there is a good amount of students transferring from Conner. From what I've heard though, most of the junior/seniors to be, are staying at their current high school. Which in turn means Cooper should have a pretty young, inexperienced team in their 1st and possibly 2nd season.
  9. I'll take a Cov Cath v.s. Cov Holy Cross 35th championship game. HC will likely throw Roenker against Beechwood and pull the upset IMO. Cov Cath will win the district though no matter who they play...
  10. Sounds like all the 33rd teams arn't play their best ball heading into districts, should be an interesting tourney.
  11. He would be found in the "best freshman in the world" thread, not this one.
  12. Conner pretty much gave this one away. They hit the ball well but probably had the worse game fielding and on the mound that I've seen so far this season. The cougars also did not seem ready to play, or like they wanted to be there for that matter. Lloyd hit the belt high fastballs all game long and played well defensively. Senior Josh Dahlenburg started for the cougars on senior night and absolutely got lit up. Belt high fastball, after belt high fastball. Lloyd is a solid team however, but may have a tough time winning the 34th due to their lack of pitching.
  13. John Roberts from Conner. Played shortstop for the JV team this year and started 2-3 games for Varsity. He will most likely lead off and play short stop for the cougars next year.
  14. P-burg should be able to handle Cooper in their first year, IMO.
  15. Exactly what I saw. I would not consider it a shot by any means. Even with the wind it was still pretty much routine, just misplayed by the fielder.
  16. I'll take a Cov Cath v.s. Cov Holy Cross 35th championship game this year. HC will likely throw Roenker against Beechwood and pull the upset IMO. Cov Cath will win the district though no matter who they play...
  17. Does anyone have a schedule of when these games will be played?
  18. Personally I like districts seeding their teams according to their district games during the regular season. However I look for Highlands to make a run and beat NCC in the district title game.
  19. I do not consider them a serious contender in '08. They have a weak schedule and only have good wins against Highlands and Cov Cath. Other then those two wins, they pretty much have lost to all other decent NKY opponents. It wouldn't be impossible for them to be overlooked and make a run in the tourney, but again I do not consider them a serious contender. However with this being said, I am glad to see Coach Sanders making such big improvements. He is slowly but surely building a program, and it wouldn't be hard to see them as a serious contender in a few years. Good Luck to them the rest of the season!
  20. I don't know that all three of those runs were earned, but they all scored on a routine fly ball that was dropped with two outs.
  21. Who would you consider Ryle's ace to be?
  22. He also held Lex Cath to 2 runs threw 5 innings and probably gave up 4 earned runs total when they played them a couple weeks back. I would venture to say he is probably the 2nd best ace in the district behind Ryle's ace.
