Newport Central Catholic 11, Boone County 5 : Johnny Pabst hit a grand slam in the fourth inning, his third home run of the season, to lead visiting NewCath, ranked No. 5 in the Enquirer Northern Kentucky coaches' poll. The senior catcher finished 4-for-4 with five RBI.

 

Boone and CovCath are to play Wednesday at 5pm, but with the rain???????

Jeramie Connor threw 6 strong innings. Lipscomb closed it out.

Boone shot themselves in the foot again. New Cath played a solid game. Boone gives up 5 unearned runs on 7 errors, leaves 10 men on base and gets 11 hits to only score 5 runs. Been the same old story to many times this year. Not what you want going into district play.
