Districts are coming around and these two teams are going to battle it out for a spot in the 9th region tournament. Beechwood will be throwing Elliot, Holy cross will have Roenker on the mound. Who do you have?

Ill take Beechwood in this one. They are a better all-around team and with Elliott on the mound they shouldn't need many runs to win. I dont think Roenker will hold the tigers to 1 run like he did the last time. The tigers hitting that night was a fluke and they have been exposed to much better pitching and are ready for Roenker.

If Cody throws Beechwoods wins.....but "B" had better score some runs early, to make life easier for him. The longer this game goes tied or "B" is up only by one, the better chance HC wins, as HC won't touch Cody for at least five innings, but after that? "B" needs to make every hit count against Roenker, as the Indians will not quit, until the last out is made. This is why the District Seeding games mean so much in the 35th, you really don't want your season to end, before it even gets a chance to start.

Good luck to both teams....should be a great game!

Like I said in a previous thread, I'll pick the upset, Holy Cross wins 5-3....

Ill take Holy Cross 4-2... I think Holy Cross will get Elliott to throw alot of pitches getting him tired... Therefore I think Holy Cross will score but not until the later ininngs.

When is the game?

I like Beechwood in this one with Elliot on the mound but wouldn't be surprised to see Holy Cross pull the upset. I've been watching Roenker pitch and play for about 8 years now and the kid is pretty darn good. With that being said I expect a great game.

Beechwood 10 HC 3

I'd be very surprised to see BHS score 10 runs off Roenker. Not a shot at BHS's offense - just a compliment to Roenker, who is an excellent pitcher and rarely gives up many runs because he doesn't put runners on base free. Of course, he'll need to have some solid defense behind him . . .

With Roenker on the hill, Hc has a very good chance. But i wouldn't doubt a duel between Roenker and Elliot. But I think Reardon and the offense pump out a few more runs than Beechwood can get out of roenker. Hc wins 3-1 is my prediction.

Sticking to my 10-3, I think Beechwood comes out swinging in my opinion.

If HC wears down Elliot early and don't make bonehead plays in the field they win. If Elliot comes out firing on all cylinders, it will be a win for Beechwood.

Sounds like a lot of IF's needed for HC to win.

The game is now at 4pm as well as Wed's Championship game, weather permitting.
