Great idea for a forum, but probably not much response this year. Beyond JC and Raceland everyone else is subpar at best this year. I had higher expectations for Ashland this year, but have still had a decent year. Russell was due to have a down year, but still a decent team as well. I believe Fairview is a bit overrated and I thought opposite of your response, because I think they will fail in the Playoffs quicker than expected. Boyd County has put together a pretty decent year and definetly should be rated above Fairview, but opinions are what makes America great.:thumb: Good Luck to your Rams...Get a State Title....Hopefully JC will bring one home too.:thumb:

No disrespect to your question here, but you have to realize that Lawrence County football has reached a very low point, when we are starting forums asking if Lawrence will even score against a opponent. I think the biggest problem in Lawrence is the sugarcoating of the situation. Attitudes need to be changed, thoughts need to be changed and everyone needs to step up and create postive results, not pacify the situation at hand. Hit the weight room in the offseason, get more players out, and create positive, winning attitudes.

The Shephard kid is a great athlete and a great Football player, but if I was his parents, I would keep a Baseball Uniform on him full time. The kid is a great pitcher. Good Luck to Shephard in the future and hope he has a quick recovery.

If you evaluated the players around each QB, then I would say Boyd's QB would get the nod for the best athlete.

True, but look in the years past and this District you are bashing has produced quite a few surprising first/second round playoff wins. On paper they do look weak, but not the weakest in the State as everyone is speaking. I believe every team in this District has really spruced up their non-district schedule to earn a little respect.

Just curious to why you have the first two game locations listed in each region, but the bottom two just says (vs) and not (at)...Are there any reason why the best numbered seed would not have home field advantage?

I just dont understand. No excuse for losses to Greenup and Rowan Co the way they did. There are some great fans and some great players there, just dont understand.

I can remember this back when I lived in the area. I also remember Boyd County players wearing bumper stickers on their helmets that stated "Thank God that I am a Farmer" as well. The good ole days.:thumb: The Boyd County/Ashland Rivalry has about got as low as the Johnson Central/Paintsville Rivalry.

I think a few more players ought to leave more often, best publicity that Lewis has gotten for a long time on here. If everyone hasnt realized for years, if they dont wanna be there, then let them go...Sometimes you are better off. Take the true hometown players and do the best you can with what you got. Let the arrogant and prideful parents and players move on.
