Absolute domination!

Russell was outgained 500+ to less than 100

Bring on Everyone Baby!

Go Bucs!

Congratulations to Belfry, dont think they will be denied this year, bring the trophy back to E. Ky.

It might have took a few years but the memory of that 19-0 beating has officially been erased. Great game Pirates!!

Wildcat Willy, I believe you and I commented before the Belfry-Johnson Central game that if Belfry could beat Johnson Central, then Russell might as well not board the bus for the ride to Belfry. As the game approached, I tried to fool myself that Russell might have a shot. Reality hit tonight, though. They shouldn't have boarded the bus after all. Belfry is in another league from Russell. Russell rose up and matched Belfry in 2005 and 2006, but now it appears it's back to business as usual.

Great Job by the entire Belfry TEAM!!!

The linemen for the Pirates are amazing!

Can't say enough about the group of men that Haywood coaches, or about Haywood and his entire staff.

This is the reason that everyone always says..."Once a Pirate..Always a Pirate"

:dancingpa

Belfry did any and everything they wanted tonight.

How does Belfry manage to field a team full of such strong players on a yearly basis? They must have a good off-season weightlifting program.

I've gave this some thought, and I can only come to one conclusion:

CLONES!!!

Way to go Belfry, that's one heck of a way to represent eastern Ky.

Ouch is all I can say. Russell's dominating years have definetly ended this year.

My opinion I don't think anyone can touch Belfry till the see Central on the carpet.

Congratulations to the Pirates!

Good one. :-)

In all reality, congratulations to Belfry. However they get it done, the fact is they get it done. They are truly one of the best programs in the state and clearly the top team this side of Lexington.

They'll be back soon.. Belfry just has a buzzsaw this year that may not have the dominating backs like Howard and Jones, but they have a VERY, VERY good backfield... and much better QB play and defense than those championship teams.

The key for Belfry now is FOCUS.

I'd be lying if part of me didn't want to play Mason County so we could play against their speed and spread offense in case of future matchups down the road.

Good one. :-)

Thanks for the kind words Ryan... all tonight means in the scope of the Belfry/Russell rivalry is that the next time these teams play Russell will be out for blood!:thumb:
