Congrats to Belfry. I was really hoping the devils would find a way to pull this one out. But Belfry is a strong team. They will definately be the team to beat this year in their class! Ive played at Belfry before(scrimmage) great place and was treated with great hospitality from the pirates. Good luck to you in youre title run!

I am going to say this about Ivan Lee.

 

Colleges need to be all over this kid. He is not a High D-1 type of guy, but schools like Eastern, Western, Marshall, etc should be drooling over a 6'2 250 kid who has great speed, great footwork, great agility, great strength, and above all else has a very high character.

 

Ivan gets his glory because he a touchdown scoring machine at RB, but he has to be one of the best DE"s in the state as well. I truly hope he has a good playoff run and can shine in the Championship game so this high quality kid can ahve a shot to play his college ball for free.

I was a little shocked about the crowd last night, cold must have kept a few away. Great fans that were there though. The game was complete dominance from beginning to end. Russell had an outstanding running back in 13, who earned every yard he got on his own. Congrats to the Pirates on the win, and we will see you in the regional championship at the CAM.

I agree that Lee has some tools that in theory would be attractive to colleges. It just seems that Pond Creek is a "black hole" when it comes to coverage by the recruiting services etc.

 

If Ivan didn't attend camps in the offseason and make a name for himself then, it will take a real miracle to get noticed this late in the game.

I am surprised by the score, and tickled pink that the Pirates pitched a shutout.
