As I posted in the CovCath vs. Woodford County thread, this game in 2006 between theses two outstanding schools was the best atmosphere that I have ever had the pleasure to witness/attend of any high school football game period. Really looking forward to the trip....and seeing the JC fans and the signs as CovCath enters Johnsonville again!:thumb:

 

Who wins this year, and why....

CC wins. JC's lack of a passing game will doom then in the end.

JC will have to play a good game to take this one. JC has not thrown the ball this year because they have not had to. JC has several weapons they can use that could be a surprise. If they can get thier running game going and control the clock and play tough defense, they are hard to handle. They will have to call a few "special plays" to keep everyone honest. This will be a very good game against a very tough team. That is what the playoffs are about. I pick JC in a close one.

I havent seen JC play this year, but have watched CC a couple times. CovCath just hasnt shown me anything this year, all I hear about is how down they are in football this year. However Ive heard JC is of equal talent as CovCath which should make for a pretty good game. But as much as I would love to see CovCath come back and play Highlands again, I dont think it will happen, I like JC because its at their place, and CovCath just isnt very impressive to me. This is a picture of the New Johnson Central football field. Gone is the grass replaced by Turf and it's look like the old seating section directly behind the school is gone also. The one thing I remember is how good the food smelled and tasted that night!

I do not have a pic, but there are new home stands and a new consession stand. The food still smells and taste as good as ever. A home new dressing and weight has been added and I have heard the visitors dressing room is a good as any in the state.

 

This is one of the best places in the state to see and play a football game!

This will be another hard hitting game. I choose with my heart over my head and picked JC in a close one.

I'm a little confused... CovCath has had about as bad a season as they could have, while JC has played great. The game is at JC... why are so many people picking CCH because they defeated a team (Woodford County) at home that really struggled at the end of the regular season??? Shouldn't JC not only be the favorite, but the heavy favorite???

I have never seen JC play, and have heard good things. I think it will be a good game, and I'm going to take CCH by one touchdown in a nail-biter. [Or I'm hoping, seeing as i'm driving a boat load of hours to watch it.]

It probably has to do with the schedules that the two teams have played. JC has played no one, at least compared to CCH. It should be a fun one. How far is JC from Lexington?
