Dixie had no answer for Campbell Co. They raced out to something like 15-2 lead and never looked back. Running clock with about 5 minutes left in 3rd quarter. Campbell looked sharp and hitting on all cylinders.

Dixie came out shooting lights-out and Brossart trailed the whole game. Brossart made a run and cut the lead to 1 with less than 4 minutes to go when they finally started pressing and forcing multiple Dixie turnovers, but Dixie made a few key shots late to thwart the come back.

Might have been mentioned on a different page, but Bard's Burger is closed. Has anybody mentioned Colonial Cottage in Erlanger, good food, fair prices.

So what's the final?

I'm not sure about this. The previous superintendent, Tim Hanner started this policy during his tenure although it is not always followed when it comes to tennis and golf teams and a few other extra curricular events. Campbell and Boone do not have this in place.

Dixie was up 28-14 at half, but in the 2nd half with several key players going both ways and the heat started to take it's toll, they just could not hold the lead. Missed a couple of FG's in the 2nd half. Several guys cramped up, and by midway in the 4th several guys were out. Even a member of the chain crew fainted in the heat.

He strained his hamstring at the Scott Classic the week before the regional and did not run.

They should never have run off Coach Frommeyer, who had been there many years and ran a solid program and would have stayed there to this day.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but Coach Kes Murphy coaches the first 9th Region girls basketball state champion and his older sister Donna was the first Kentucky Miss Basketball. How ironic.

I agree. What Coach C. did was a valid approach. If he takes a t/o, he may not be able to get it in or have it stolen on the inbounds. He made a coaching choice, but it didn't work out.

A 2 stage snow blower works well on the track surface to remove the excess snow and let the sun do the rest.

Dixie probably hasn't practiced all week with the weather.

Sounds like poor adjustments, in game, by the Dixie coaches.

What about the receiver's coach from last year's team as an OC? He was a longtime head coach that was always pretty innovative with the offense of his teams.

Scott made the game too fast for Dixie to handle with their pressure, thus the easy win.

Same old problem with Dixie over the last few years, can't handle a press. Do they ever work on press breaks in practice?

Dixie may not be as strong as some thought. They still can't handle pressure.

Their program is alive and well. Coach Fischer is doing a great job.

On the girl's side, Ryle was 1st and Dixie was 2nd. Simon Kenton won the boy's team championship and St. Henry edged out the Dixie boys by 1 pt on the final race of the night to claim the runner-up trophy.

The meet at Dixie has been moved to Thursday due to predicted poor weather on Tuesday. Field events start at 4:45 and running starts at 5:45.
