  1. Adair by 14, too much Fudge will give Taylor a belly ache.
  2. They won't beat Elliott County playing a 2-3 zone, they shoot it way to well.
  3. There are no trees in the parking lot at McBrayer.
  4. You could have 3 classes. A AA AAA Have this tourney in January. The state doesn't have to recognize it. Then continue to have the district, regional, and state tournaments just like they do now. A win, win for everyone!
  5. Garrard has a great young coach in Lee DeForrest.
  6. Takes 3 plus hours to drive to to Todd from Clinton, takes a little less than 3 hrs to sports of all sorts in Florence. A 2 lane bad road most of the way to Todd and interstate to Florence.
  7. In the 4th region, Clinton County and Todd County Central are 160 miles apart with mostly bad roads. Someone explain to me how the KHSAA justifies this? At Clinton County, which is on the Tennessee line, we can drive to Florence quicker than we can drive to Todd County. If they are really concerned about STUDENT athletes a situation like this would never occur. Imagine that trip on a school night.
  8. Wayne played very well, Eastern is an extremely good team. Wayne could be the team to beat in March. They are so young they will only get better.
  9. I agree with Eta, Guyn was the best player on the floor, He can definitely play big time DI.
  10. Southwestern is pretty good but they don't play anyone very good so you don't really know how good they are. I saw them as 8th graders last year and they were impressive but they looked really old. I assume that most of them have stayed back. If so, they are really sophomores playing agaist freshman, age wise, so they may not improve like some of the other teams will. They probably are the best team in the 12th but are they as good as advertised? Time will tell.
  11. This game had to be like watching paint dry! 40-28 wow!
  12. You folks don't understand how important Henderson was. You don't replace what he brought to the table in 2-3 games. Holmes will be very good at season's end but right now, I don't think it will be that close. Henderson was a difference maker at crunch time, man, he was a baller.
  13. Scott County 84 -61 over Holmes. Holmes hasn't proven that they can replace the leadership they lost. Never mistake a talented bunch of kids for a team. A team is a whole lot more than just talented athletes. Holmes could make another state tourney run by March but right now Elloitt County may be the 2nd best team in the state. Holmes has to find their identity, then look for them to roll.
  14. Sayre is a small private school in Lexington that is not very competitive within region. Cunningham is a very nice player with years of experience on the AAU DI nationals level.
  15. He is a very talented young man. Please keep me posted on his progress. We have played agaist him since the 2nd grade.
  16. Someone said they saw 7th grader Christain Cunningham playing varsity for Sayre on the Friday night sports report from one of the Lexington TV stations. Anyone know if this is true?
  17. Coach Deforrest may have a regional contender by tourney time. Great job Lee!
  18. Holmes might be the most overhyped team in years. Eta had me convinced they could play the Tar Hells a good game.
  19. I listened to part of it, Russell played very well in the 2nd half.
  20. I agree, you have to get someone very committed and start at about the 1-2nd grade and play all you can. That coach is probably as important as the high school coach to building a strong program. It's awful hard to reteach fundamentals that weren't taught correctly, early in life.
  21. Two of Kentucky's top teams locked up in a defensive struggle. Look for this matchup at Rupp in March.
  22. Elliott County is an inspiration to every small rural school in Kentucky. If you start young, work your tail off, play AAU all summer to gain compitition, play together, and can shoot the ball, you can play with the big boys. They are my favorite team in many years, I'm pulling for them to win it all. It's about time you know for another Edmonson County to keep the class thing quiet. If they are making jump shots, they can beat anyone in the state.
  23. They may not win a game! They actually may not win 5. Big rebuilding job there but the talent is on the way.
  24. Wayne County and Lincoln County are great jobs. Basketball is the main sport, good facilities, and a chance to win the region most years.
  25. You people have the 4th way too low! Maybe not this season but check the records for the past 10 years. The 4th might have the highest winning percentage over that time. Russellvile and Warren Central have been Saturday fixtures at the state tournament over the past 10 seasons.
