Someone said they saw 7th grader Christain Cunningham playing varsity for Sayre on the Friday night sports report from one of the Lexington TV stations. Anyone know if this is true?

Yes he is playing with Sayre along with 8th grader Mike Smith.

He is a very talented young man. Please keep me posted on his progress. We have played agaist him since the 2nd grade.

7th grader sounds impressive. Can you elaborate about the HS and the level of competition is is this just a small school with minimal numbers bringing up young talent for experience

Sayre is a small private school in Lexington that is not very competitive within region. Cunningham is a very nice player with years of experience on the AAU DI nationals level.

I think the fact that Brandon Hatton Tar Heel (7th grader) is logging Varsity minutes at Class 5A Dixie Heights is pretty impressive as well.

I know in the highlights I saw a very young looking player hit a 3 pointer on one of the Lexington stations. He looked to be around 12 or 13 years old.
