This is the end of the Warren Central era in the 4th region. Could be ten years before we hear from them again. I know the Moss middle team was very good a couple of years ago but they haven't developed like I thought they would. Bowling Green and Glasgow seem to be the teams to beat in the next few years.

Braxton just turned 14 and he played last year for Kentucky Elite who had a very good AAU year. He also averaged over 30 points a game in last years 6th grade middle school state tournament. He is rated the 6th best point guard in the country in that class by one scouting service. He is pretty well known nationally. He played with some kids on Kentucky Elite from Wayne County, South Laurel, and Clinton County as well as some other very good kids from Eastern Ky. They won the USSSA Nationals and won 5-6 games in the AAU nationals. He will be a very special player.

Really nice offensive skill set, he can play at the next level but he really needs to show people he can defend. I believe he has the ability to defend, just needs to dig down deep and show it these last two to three weeks.

Blake Sanders at South Laurel is doing a great job running the show for Steve Wright.

"Bach has Snider handles and a Hatton jumpshot." That is saying a lot. Not saying it's impossible but..... Why compare the kids who play different positions? Just rate them 1-3 per position.

Colby Langford at Clinton County is starting some varsity games and playing big minutes every game.

Clinton and Russell are going to the 12th, in with Monticello and Wayne. Or Russell is going into the Casey district and McCreary Central stays. I look for East and West to be shipped back out but I don't know about that part...just heard the other pretty straight.

Russell County will be rebuilding but has future star in Robertson.

I agree, Messer is an excellent coach and very well thought of in Clinton County. I don't think he would leave for Clay with talent Clinton has coming.

How do you win 70% of your games, make it to the regional finals, and lose your job. I'll bet the school's academic record isn't that good. Mr Britt better not buy a house because it appears that they expect quite a bit Mercer County.

Darrell Griffith won the award and the 2nd best player in the state, Bobby Turner, was also on his Male high school team and they didn't win the region. Lost to a Ballard team with Jr Jeff Lamp and a host of other D1 prospects.

I don't think they will ever eliminate it but I wish they would and go to a Jan 1 age break or just go by grade and forget it. At least the way they are talking all of the grade exceptions would be in D1 and you could play in D2 and not have to worry about it. For the record my kids have always played up in AAU and school ball as well as their grade. Lots of people are starting their kids late now and they qualify as grade exceptions even though they haven't been held back. Shelby Valley had several 19 or soon to be 19 year olds. It does make a difference.

Heard something really interesting in the KBA today. There will be an AAU proposal for D2 teams to have only 1 grade exception and D1 teams to have 5 next year. I personally like that and hope it is adopted.

Kentucky Elite Kings defeat Hoop Dreams in the D1 state championship by 8 and Louisville Elite defeats the Rim Rockers by 10+ in the D2 finals. Braxton Beverly was really impressive for the D1 winners as well as Chance Melton and Kale Stotts. Louisville Elite had two really nice big kids in the D2 division. Who are top teams in 13/u? I like The Ville, Kentucky Elite, And the Knights in D1 and Kentucky Elite and Kentucky Thunder in D2. Kentucky Elite is playing split squad in both divisions.

The worst thing is Shanklin and Fant won't be back to Rupp because Bowling Green and Russellville will be the class of te 4th. Central just loses too much. Do you think Riley will retire or will he stick around for the lean years?

Hoops Elite South wins the AAU 11/u state championship over the NKY Magic 40-25. The Magic defeated the NKY Wildcats in OT in one semi-final and Hoops Elite South defeated Team Louisville by 20 in the other semi-final.Congrats to Hoops in only their 2nd weekend together they really improved as the weekend progressed and looked great in both final 4 games. The NKY semi-final game was a classic and it was too bad anyone had to lose it. Lot's of emotion, great game.

There are currently 4 teams registered D1 for 11/u Louisville Elite BCK NKY Magic Nky Wildcats He expects 2 more teams to be added. There are 8 teams in the D2 state with about 3 more teams to be added 6 teams in D1 and about 12 in D2 Will make for 2 good tournaments

No team should ever have to play 3 in a row or 6 in a day. That is just plain ridiculous. That will lead to injury, very poorly done by the tournament director. Generation Next is very talented, however, all of their kids are grade exceptions, that is why they don't play in the AAU state.
