I thought Brown for SK had a really good game. I have seen her play several times before, and this was the best game I have seen her play. Congrats to SK on the win. On the flip side, I did not think Conner took advantage of opportunities they had. For example, Toria Fisher was being guarded by Wainscott from SK. In my opinion Fisher should have been moved to the block and posted Wainscott up all night long. Fisher 5'-8 vs Wainscott 5'-2" would have been a huge mismatch. Fisher play post all last year, and is a well rounded player. Wainscott did an excellent job of playing lock down defense on Fisher on the perimeter, and held her way below her season average. I don't think the Conner coaching staff made any adjustments all night. Wainscott had a huge game offensively and defensively.

Ryle has a very nice team, but they are still young and will continue to improve. Im sure they will learn a lot from this game, and it will make them stronger in future games. Good luck lady Raiders. You do have a very talented team.

:clap:I would think it would be much harder, and more of an accomplishment to score your 1000th career point one month into your Jr year. Regardless if you have played since you were a seventh grader or not. It should be much harder to score/rebound as a 7, 8, or 9th grader when every night you are playing girls much older and bigger than you. Girls that are in the 10, 11, and 12th grade are expected to put up these type of numbers, but when you do it at a much younger age is just huge.

wow! This score surprises me with all the D-1 players (4 or 5 as advertised earlier on BGP) Ryle has on their team. Marion must have atleast 10 D-1 players or more to beat such a loaded Ryle team that bad.

GRC by 15. They are very good this year.

If Williamstown can keep pressure on the young guards from GC. I will take Williamstown in a very close game. If they don't keep pressure up front on GC guards and it becomes a half court game, I will pick GC. One thing is for sure, when these two teams meet it is always a battle with lots of fouls. WV by 16. Carrol will have a hard time with Dixon and Sandlin in the post. If Carroll packs in a zone look for Slavey to have a big game, along with others from the three point line. WV will be hard to stop this year on the inside and the perimeter. Good luck to both teams.

Walton looked good last night. I think they will surprise some teams this year. Nice win for the Lady Bearcats.

Emily Jones will be a big help for offensive production when she gets healthy.

WOW! With that many D1 players on one team it sounds like this years girls state championship trophy will be coming to Union, KY. How did Nel Fookes let all those D1 players get away from her program? I'm not sure when the last time a northern Ky girls basketball team has won a state championship?

Simon will have problems replacing all the scoring that was lost. But I can guarantee you that they will be good defensively. Stowers is know for high pressure defense and don't expect this year to be any different. I would expect lots of guard pressure defensively, and as many quick transition baskets as they can get to account for most of there scoring. If their guards stay out of foul trouble, they will make it very hard for a lot of teams to get into their half court offense. Depth will also pose a problem for the Pioneers this year also. They do not have the bench they have had in the past.

Walton's program is looking very good for the next four or five season's. They have some really good coaches in place, and a lot of very committed girls that work hard. Good Luck this year.

How many turnovers, missed shots, and defensive breakdowns did the coach have last night, it sounds like he played pretty bad. My point is, you win as a team and you lose as a team. Coaches and players together. Boone is a very good team that can get better as the season goes on. The worst thing that can happen to them right now in the middle of the season, is to pit the players against the coach and point alot of fingers at each other. After all they are not going to change coaches in the middle of the season. If this TEAM wants to go deep in the tournament they need to pull together, execute their offense's, defense's, game plans to a tee, and focus on the task at hand. Good luck to the Rebels and coaching staff, over coming adversity will make you stronger.

WV played well last night. It was enjoyable to watch a more up tempo, fast pace, pushing the ball up the floor game. WV did a good job of sharing the ball, attacking the basket, and not living off shots beyond the arch. They were also very aggressive on defense. Good job WV players and coach's.:ylsuper:

Carroll by 10. They are playing better every game. If Hill for Gallatin stays out of foul trouble, and has a big game it may be a closer. Both teams play very hard. Should be a good game to watch. Good luck to both teams.

Carrol has a very aggressive team but I don't think they will be able to put up enough offensive points to outscore owen. If they(Carrol) can contain Gayheart and Lowe they will have a good chance to win, but for now Im going to say Owen wins by 7. Should be a really good game. Both teams play very hard.

I will predict that WV gets it's first win of the season tonight. WV has only 2 seniors, 1 junior, 2 sophmores,1 seventh,3 eighth, and 3 ninth graders that make up the varsity bench. They are young with very little varsity experience, but they have two great coaches now, and with their leadership this team will greatly improve as the season goes on. Grant will be aggressive as always, but I think WV by 5.

Congrats to Tori Wilhoit on a outstanding performance. 25pts and 19 rebounds, that is a huge game. Also congrats to Chelsea West, she shot very well last night from beyond the arc, including a big one late. I believe she had (4) 3 pointers. Keep up the good work Demons.
