  1. In my opinion Gayheart did not do enough. She is by far the best player on Owens team. If she does not have a big night Owen does not win. Owen only goes as far as Gayheart takes them.
  2. Walton got it done in the second half. Gallatin played right with the bearcats the first half. The big key for Gallatin to stay with the bearcats was Kelli Dixon getting her second foul 39 seconds into the game. Dixon had to sit almost the whole first half. This allowed Gallatin to keep it close early. When Dixon returned in the second half the whole game changed immediately. The Bearcats where leading by 20+ at the end of the third quarter. It will be important for Dixon to stay out of foul trouble if the Bearcats want to make a deep run in the all "A". I was impressed with Gallatin Counties play at times, but they did turn the ball over way to much. They have some really young gauards that are going to be really good. Good luck to the Bearcats tonight.
  3. Walton should win by 10. Should be a pretty good game.Williamstown will play hard like always. For Williamstown to win they will have to stay out of foul trouble and make free throws. Walton is playing really good right now.
  4. Sounds like the new lighting worked out really good for the Bearcats. What a difference it makes when you can see the basket. All kidding aside, it sounds like the coaching staff has the Bearcats playing very good right now. Congrats to Taulbee on a great night of shooting.
  5. If SK would have beaten Ryle one of the two times they played. Then I think Lawrence would of had a better chance. I don't think Chad was that productive the second time they played. Absolutely not taking anything away from Chad, he had a great year and was fun to watch. Probably just as dangerous with his legs as he was with his arm. The thing that most impressed me about Chad was his ability to keep a play alive for so long by scrambling and making something out of nothing.
  6. Ashley Cheeseman is a great kid and athlete. I hope she gets better soon as the Lady Raiders will need her in the big games to come. I'm not sure her injury status, but hope for a healthy return soon.
  7. Demons played very hard last night at SK. Just came up a little short. It seemed to be a game of runs, and was very competitive. It looks like the Demons are starting to come together. Good luck and keep up the hard work!
  8. I would agree that Kelli Dixon is the most productive player Walton has night in and night out. She did score 23 or 26 points against Sydney Moss of Boone County. Kelli has had a nice career at Walton. She will be missed next year. Keep up the good work Kelli. :ylsuper:
  9. This will be on the next ESPN addition of "COME ON MAN", this is not even a comparison. Alexander (NFL MVP). Once Simpson has any type of success in college, or becomes NFL MVP then repost. Alexander had over 3,000 yards his senior year alone. I like Simpson and he was a very good high school back, but not on the same level as Alexander.
  10. I also did not understand why Judy did not play much in the 4th quarter. I don't think Simon had any answer for Judy. Judy is much improved from last year, and has started the season off strong.
  11. Sandlin is a really nice player. She plays very hard, and I enjoy watching her play.
  12. I was absolutely talking about Varsity. I don't really care about the JV's record. I said nothing about JV. Question my knowledge when Boone blast Conner by 20+. Maybe your right, Conner is loaded with a ton of talent and will win 90% of this seasons game. That's what talent does, they win games. I wish they would start playing all that talent they have because I'm tired of watching them get drill by 20. I want them to win as much as anyone. I am a Cougar fan as well. Like I said it is going to take time to build this program back up. We will agree that the Cougars will be competitive in the years to come.
  13. As a matter of fact I'm very familiar with several of the girls that play at Conner. I'm also very familiar with Boone, Ryle, St Henry, NDA and NCC. They have alot more "Basketball" talent right now than Conner(that is fact). My point to people is that it would be completely unfair to blame coach Stamm if this is not the most successful season the Cougars have had. Coach Stamm took this team over very late in the summer. He needs a chance to build a program. Rome was not built overnight and neither will the Cougars program. I know, and like several of the players, parents, and coach. I'm sure coach Stamm and the players will continue to work hard. I wish all of them the best and hope they can make a run at the end of the season district and region.
  14. Congrats to coach Trame and his Bearcat team! Nice win, keep up the good work.
  15. Congrats to Cooper. It seems like their young team is playing pretty well. I look for them to continue to improve and compete over the next couple years as some of their girls mature.
  16. Well while were being so honest let me just say Conner don't have one player outside of Toria Fisher that could even start on any other team in the 9th region, Lets face it Coach Stamm did not get the most talented players to work with. To blame coach Stamm would be completely unfair in every aspect. It will probably be a couple years before they compete again. Hopefully their middle school has some quality players coming soon.
  17. Walton wins big. Bearcats looked really good tonight. Judy was a beast, much improved from last year. Dixon was solid as always. Taulbee handled the ball a lot and looked very good out front doing it. Taulbee did not have a lot of points, but took care of the ball, and created for others. She made some very nice passes. Bearcats defense was also solid tonight. Congrats WV!
  18. This will be a very close game. SK has returning player of the year in Wainscott. Wainscott is a very solid player, she plays with as much confidence as any high school player I have ever seen, she see's the floor well, has the basketball IQ of a coach, and is a floor general. As usual WV guard play will be the difference in this game, if they reduce turnovers they will win. WV has much more talent from top to bottom and should come out with the win. With less talent than usual for SK, this year will tell how good of a coach SK has in Stowers (my guess is very good). If SK wins this game it will be because of coaching.
  19. Mulligan or Clinkenbeard would both do a good job at the point if given the opportunity. Not taking anything away from Hoffa, she rebounds and plays very hard. I just don't think she is a point guard. I think Hoffa would more productive in positions on the floor.
