Very nice win for Williamstown. Coach Wilhoite does a great job. Williamstown played really solid defense all night and Chelsea West was very aggressive on offense making some big shots. Game had a lot of fouls with Williamstown's Wilhoite and Owen County's Gayheart setting a lot of the 1st half. Everytime Owen mada a run Williamstown answered.

Williamstown played a good game and lead most of the way. Owen more of a me game instead of we game.

Congrats to the Lady Demons..Played with a lot of heart!

That was the first time since at least the 1997-98 season that Williamstown had beaten Owen County. Big win for the Lady Demons!!!

Not sure what you mean? I didn't see it that way.

In my opinion Gayheart did not do enough. She is by far the best player on Owens team. If she does not have a big night Owen does not win. Owen only goes as far as Gayheart takes them.

That's exactly what I was thinking. She seemed to be looking to pass a lot more than I thought she should have. She has to be that constant scoring threat in order for her teamates to have success. She seemed content to pass the ball and be done with it. Not putting anyone down just the facts without Gayheart playing her game Owen's not going to beat many teams.

I thought Wtown's defense kept her from having open looks and forced her to pass the ball. They definitely did not make it easy on her. I would have to credit Wtown defense for taking her out of the game. They also smothered Neeley and that took out the 2 best scorers.

Anybody hear how the Prokopchak (sp?) girl for Williamstown is doing? Didn't make it to the finals, so don't know if she played or not. Saw her come out of the locker room with an ice bag taped to her knee, and she was limping pretty badly.

She is doing fine. Played quite a bit in the final. And I agree with you Lunatic W-Towns defensive game plan was terrific and they executed. I just thought when it came down to winning time Gayheart backed off from her usual game.

I didn't think they communicated very well on defense and their offense was to quick to shoot instead of working the ball.

Too early to push the panic button for Owen.

Got ya. I thought maybe your were saying they were playing selfish ball and I just didn't see it that way.
