  1. First learn to read. Second, what I said was not one other player besides Fisher could even start at another 9th region school. What I should of said was MOST other 9th region teams (Ryle, Boone, NCC, NDA, or Highlands). There might be a couple schools in the 9th that are less than average teams (like Conner) that they could. When a team doesn't win it is not always the coaches fault. Sometimes you need to remove your parent glasses to get a better view of what talent you really have. I would strongly recommend you do so. I could get on here and tell everyone how loaded with talent Conner is this year, and its all the coaches fault why their not winning, but that would just be foolish. It's ok to say that Conner needs to develop some players and it may take a couple years to do so. It's not a secret, most normal people that don't have a kid on the team already know this.
  2. Well you asked so I will tell. Toria Fisher put up 34pts. Thats almost have of the total points. What part of that don't you understand? She is by far the best player Conner has this year. Without her Conner would be lucky to win any games. Coach Stamm is a great coach but is limited by the talent level right now. As I said before it will take him a couple years to develop some talent to be sucessful and compete with Ryle, Boone, NCC and NDA. The talent at those schools is much higher right now. That is a fact. I'm sorry you cannot see that, but it is a fact. I still feel the same way as I did earlier this season. Not to mention St. Henry lost one of their top players in Gamm during the 4th quarter. Don't get me wrong, I want to see Conner do well. I personally know coach stamm and want him to do well. But I am also realistic.
  3. I must say I'm very surprised that Owen County got three people on the NCKC team. Maybe two but not three. I also believe that Chelsea West from Williamstown is atleast four spots lower than she deserves. If any team were to get three I would think that Walton would have the best chance with Taulbee or Slavey.
  4. Walton has a very good team. If they can pull it together by district time they could win it. They are a team that can beat almost any team on any night when they are firing on all cylinders. I believe it will be very hard for SK to beat Walton three times in a row. If you could only win one out of three, the next is the one you want to win.
  5. I have seen Conner play this year. I did not see them having the best talent in the 9th by far. I think going into the season they were way overrated. Conner has some good players that play very hard, but I have seen a lot of other teams that have more talent. Coach Hicks is a very good coach and I'm sure they will continue to work hard and get better. You never know they could make run here at the end of the season. Good luck Cougars.
  6. Congratulations to Rianna! A great accomplishment by a very solid player.
  7. I like Walton's chances. If Walton can get the ball up the court and use their inside game they should win. If SK puts a lot of full court pressure on Walton then it could be a tough night. SK inside game is not near as good as Walton's. Guard play (taking care of the ball) will be key for Walton. I think Walton gets it done and wins by 6. Should be a good game.
  8. Congrats Hannah on being a great student athlete. I must say 26+ pts a game with girls chasing you and hanging all over you every night is very impressive.
  9. Congrats to Walton on a huge win. Hopefully this gives them the momentum to get the team turned around. Kara Taulbee and Katie Slavey had a big first half from behind the arc which really gave Walton some breathing room. Congrats to Kelli Dixon on her 1500pt. I was amazed at all of the accomplishments that she made over the last four years. When the announcer was reading them off it was a very long impressive list. Kelli has some very big shoes to fill next year and will be missed. I look forward to seeing her play at Thomas More College (who is ranked #1 nationally right now in D3).
  10. Which players were missing, and why wasn't their coach there?
  11. This surprises me. Walton has so much talent. I thought they would win this one relatively easy. I figured they would be ready to get back in the gym and get back on track. Hopefully they can pull it together soon with the district tournament right around the corner. Congrats to Owen on a solid win. It sounds like coach Osborne has Owen playing well at the right time of year.
  12. Walton by 12. Owen does not have enough scorers. Walton will focus on taking the ball out of Gayheart's hands and force others to make plays. If Gayheart does not put up 20+ points it could get ugly again.
  13. Yes an emotional senior night at the Demon dome. A father/daughter combination that lasted 7yrs at the varsity level. Those seniors are special young ladies and will be greatly missed. The face of Williamstown will look much deferent next year especially not seeing West and Wilhoit on the floor. They have both been starters for about 6yrs. I wish all of them the best in their future.
  14. Finally we agree. I must say I love the way you keep things interesting. I really do hope Ryle can make a lot of noise in the state tournament (if they can get there, they have to win the 9th first). I believe they give NKY the best chance down state.
  15. Congrats to the lady Raiders. I heard they played well. Like I said I really didn't care who won. But if Ryle did not win it would be completely on the coach. Ryle is by far more talented than Boone, by far. Last night they did what they were suppose to do. The best team with the best players are suppose to win. Lets don't act like this was a big upset or something and now you have the best coach that has ever walked northern KY. Still not sure why Cheeseman is not a starter? I still maintain that your coach can not win games they are not suppose to. If Ryle does not go to the state tournament (and go deep in it) this year and next it will not be the players fault. Ryle has unbelievable talent right now. Atleast two D-1 players if not more. And by the way I forgot just how many regional banners does Ryle have hanging in their gym?
  16. I'm not sure Grants defense is as good as you think. Walton players Mcneil 22pts and Moeves 19pts both are only freshman. If you give up 41pts to two ninth graders I have to wonder how good is Grants defense?
  17. I'm not taking subtle shots at no one. Just stating the facts. While were on the facts lets just go ahead and say the coach O took the job at the right time. She know exactly what kind of talent was getting ready to run through there. Any coach could have taken over at the same time and looked like a great coach, that is fact. Lets face it if Moss were still there this would not even be a game. I think coach Cheeseman is the best coach Ryle has in their program. I really don't care who wins the game. It should be another great game. I believe Ryle should win. But never count Boone out with coach Fookes. Good Luck to both teams!
  18. No trend here. Just stating the obvious. Ryle had a team last year to compete at state and didn't make it. They have the most talented players around and should compete for a state championship this year and next year, but talent alone will only win you games you are suppose to win. There is absolutely no reason this team cannot win the state tournament this year or next year. IMO the only reason they would not is because they don't have a great coach. I would love to see the northern Kentucky teams make a lot of noise down state.
  19. If Nell is there it will be a close game. Ryle has more talent from top to bottom without question, but Boone has a much better coach.
  20. Congrats to Toria! She is a very good player and a super person.
  21. Don't under estimate the play of Taulbee. She is probably the second leading scorer on the bearcats team, and sometimes leads them in scoring. If you take a scorer like her off any team you will certainly feel the effects. If Taulbee plays I believe this is a much different game. She is a very important piece to the bearcat team.
  22. Sounds like Cheeseman is playing really well right now. I believe she is a very important key to Ryle's success as the year goes on. Keep up the good work Ashley.
  23. Walton has a really good freshman class. I heard they started two freshman last night. They should be pretty good next year, but the year after that they will be really good. That freshman group is having to grow up really quick and take on a lot of responsibility. The future is bright at Walton just be patient.
  24. Carroll always plays hard, and coach Medford always has his team well prepared.
  25. "They must not have scouted Carroll" I would think not. Most every team that knows Carroll, knows you have to stop Devine. She can absolutely fill it up. Last I heard she was averaging 25+ points a game. She is a nice player.
