Owen County 63 Walton Verona 38

Featured Replies

What a beating! Owen beat Walton in every facet of the game. They came in prepared and played a great game. Walton was flat and not prepared at all. I guess when you only practice one day since Wednesday that is what you get. This is the second egg they have laid in the past week and not a good way to enter the final two weeks of the season. Don't be surprised if Simon beats them Saturday and Williamstown beats them in the districts. Congrats to Owen on the big win.

This surprises me. Walton has so much talent. I thought they would win this one relatively easy. I figured they would be ready to get back in the gym and get back on track. Hopefully they can pull it together soon with the district tournament right around the corner. Congrats to Owen on a solid win. It sounds like coach Osborne has Owen playing well at the right time of year.

Wow!!!! Any stats?

Can a mod please merge the other thread with this one?

This was just a good old fashioned beat down!! I'm no genius but Walton averaged 9.5 points per quarter OUCH!! Owen seems to be pulling it together at the right time. I said it before when you have Gayheart you always have a chance to win. And from the stat lines I've seen latley all the starters seems to be picking it up. Congrats to Owen their drum seems to be beating louder each time out!!!

Stats posted by Sportslady from the other thread on the Owen WV game tonight

Didn't see this one coming! Why only one practice for the Lady Bearcats?

Don't know why they only practiced once since their All A loss. I guess that's a question only the coach can answer. I think after their performance tonight, he might want to go to 2-a-days.

Maybe they stayed in Richmond for the entire "All A" tournament??

Dixon 8 Taulbee 5 total points, wow.

Maybe they stayed in Richmond for the entire "All A" tournament??

Some (most?) teams still practice while they are there. When I have traveled with teams in the past, we've practiced at nearby colleges (Berea, Midway, Georgetown) and at local gyms.

Tough loss for the bearcats. Have to give Owen credit, they were on top of their game and executed well tonight.

They came back Thursday so there was no excuse for not practicing only one day. Looks like a total lack of preparation for the Owen game and their performance showed it.

A few players for Owen were all over their game....not just Gayheart......they ALL played a great game.......

A few players for Owen were all over their game....not just Gayheart......they ALL played a great game.......as for WV.....I think some players weren't there...along with the coach

Which players were missing, and why wasn't their coach there?
