Marion 73 Ryle 47

Marion county is as good as advertised. They play every possession "all out". The Epps girl is good but so are the rest of the starting 5. Ryle was led by Jenna Crittendon with 19 points and at least a dozen rebounds and 2 big blocks. Hopefully Ryle will pull it together for another tough game tomorrow against Grayson County.

^ So did Ryle run their real sets this game, or are they still saving them?

Be nice guys Marion Co. is a team that will beat people by how ever many points they want to.

They are young but they have played played alot of basketball together.

They will be hanging some banners in Lebanan

How is the Epps girl from Marion related to Anthony?

So will anyone give Marion Cty a real test during this tourny? If so who?

wow! This score surprises me with all the D-1 players (4 or 5 as advertised earlier on BGP) Ryle has on their team. Marion must have atleast 10 D-1 players or more to beat such a loaded Ryle team that bad.

That's earned sarcasm. Can understand it completely. Marion has to be as tough as anyone in the state. Kudos to their coaching staff. They have talent, but they are disciplined and all about team. Man do they move the ball, hit the boards hard and play defense. It was very obvious that their is no team in Northern Kentucky that will be tougher. Wow! Still impressed.Get out and see them if you get a chance. As for D1 talent, I think there are some young players on Ryle that will get some college attention later, but right now they are not there. Just hope the tough competition helps get Ryle ready for the district seeding games.

Marion is a very good team. Very young, but very good. Keep in mind that at least three of these kids have played at a very high level in AAU and most high school teams are not at that level. Ryle has some very nice players also and play hard, just not to where Marion County is yet. I did not see the first game where there was some controversy over running sets. I did watch this game yesterday. Ryle had lots of problems getting into any kind of half court offense because of Marion's defense and ball pressure. But they did runs sets in this game.

The scary part about Marion is that in four years you are still gonna have to be dealing with the younger group.

I assume you (Marion County) look forward to avenging the losses from last year....Mercy, E-Town, Sacred Heart. It should be a great season for your team. Hadn't heard much about you but you are on the radar now!

I dont think this guy is really a Marion fan. Maybe he just dont like the excuses for Ryle.

I am a Notre Dame fan but they are young and not in the State picture. I look to MC to be a real contender. A five point loss to E town last year is pretty impressive. Trying to figure out who really stands in your way.

Just a fan of good basketball. As someone earlier said, Marion will have to be dealt with for a long time to come. Great young talent but as I said earlier, they are not just a collection of talented players, they are well coached. Over the years, we have all seen some talented teams fall because of no discipline or teamwork. This team is a TEAM. Good luck to both teams.
